"He looks like a SHE."
"I had to stare at him for so long to realize that was actually a guy."
"Is this some tranny?"
"Felix stop reading those," I shut his laptop.
"Owen what the hell?" He slapped my hand away.
"If you're gonna sit here and read comments about you online, read the nice ones. Stop reading the mean ones. It's like you're purposely trying to destroy your self esteem."
"Well fuck Owen, I want to know if I can fix anything people don't like."
"That's not how it works. You don't change yourself to satisfy others. Plus the only thing people are hating on is your face. You can't fix that."
That came out way wrong.
"So are you saying you also think I look like a woman?" He looked at me in shock.
"Felix, no. We've been over this. You don't look like a fucking woman. 12 year olds online are just bored and coming up with insults that aren't even true."
"But it is true isn't it?"
"No it's not!"
"It is! It is!" He laughed.
Laughing? Why is he laughing.
"Well I guess I should forget it. I can't fix this face of mine."
"Exactly. Ignore them."
"Kay," he deadpanned and got up from his desk. "What's for dinner?"
"I was gonna make some Alfredo pasta."
"Awesome," he sighed and laid his head on his desk.
"Are you alright? Kamille told me you had to get your chapter done by tomorrow. Have you finished?"
"Honestly, do you and her only care about me finishing my story? Can't I just live a little and not just focus on writing 24/7?"
"I'm sorry-"
"I'm gonna head out. I need alone time, okay? I'll be home by 9."
"Oh...bye Felix." I said. "Be safe, love you."
He waved at me with his back towards me and walked out of his room.
I stood there for a moment, fighting the temptation to read his story.
I want to read it so badly.
I wonder what it's about exactly.
I can't read it! That's invading his privacy!
I'll go make the pasta so it's ready by the time he gets home.
I headed downstairs and began preparing the food but a lump filled in my chest.
Felix...something about the way you're acting...is...scaring me.
I'm not sure what it is but it's reminding me of someone I met in the past.
Something happened to that person. I can't remember what happened though.
Why can't I pinpoint it?
"Oo that smells amazing!" Kamille walked into the kitchen. "You're so cool! I can't believe you can cook so well! You're definitely gonna be the one in the dress at the wedding!"
"What wedding?"
She walked away snickering and I was left feeling confused as hell.
Wait.
