I'm fucking miserable.
The worst part of it is that I have no reason to be complaining.
It's my fault I have nowhere to live.
It's my fault I only have one friend now.
And it's my fault I'm throwing up in a nasty toilet at some club.
"Ha! What a loser! Must be his first time drinking!" someone from behind me laughed.
"Ugh...shut up moron!" I growled before returning to throwing up.
I didn't even know my stomach could fit this much.
And it just kept coming!
"Come on man! Other people need to use the fucking toilet."
"It's mine!" I hissed. "It's my friend and I'll stay with it as long as I want to!"
"What a freak," someone said in disgust.
I'm so pathetic.
Just a fuck up.
How much would I have to drink to die of alcohol poisoning?
Probably way too much...I'd end up passing out before I even got enough in my system to die.
Suddenly someone grabbed my collar and dragged me from the toilet, throwing me against the wall.
"Stand up, idiot." they snapped without me looking up.
"No."
"Jesus Christ you're a mess. Get up Owen."
Wait.
They know my name.
Who the hell is talking to me?
I hesitated slightly to look up but eventually found the strength to do so.
"Man...never thought I'd find you here," he laughed.
"Duke," I said in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"I've come here for the past month every Friday. The real question is why are you here?"
"I don't know...I have nothing else to do."
"Oh gee. Come on," he picked me up and let me lean on him for balance, "How much did you drink?"
"Just two shots."
"It's your first time huh?"
"Yeah..."
"Should've just started with one but I'm not judging."
"Too late now."
"I'm aware."
"How have you been?" I asked.
"Considering I've come to this club every week for a month, I want you to guess how I'm doing."
"Won't Felix be worried you're cheating on him or something? It's kinda weird to go to a gay bar."
"You need to get on the internet more often."
"What?"
"He broke up with me a month ago."
"What the hell, why?"
"Dude. You know why. He told me the truth don't act stupid," he snapped.
"Oh...sorry."
"I didn't really get it because why would he break up with me over you even though you ran away from him?"
