After the party, everything seemed to return to normal.
Well except that Felix hasn't muttered more than three words to anyone in three weeks!
"Felix do you want breakfast?" I asked.
He sat up from his bed and shook his head.
"You can't keep skipping breakfast. It slows down the metabolism."
He didn't say anything. He just stared down at his hands.
Damn. I knew he was a sensitive guy but I didn't realize harsh words affected his head that much.
I can't believe he's still dwelling on what happened with Wyatt.
"Felix, you look very handsome today."
Handsome.
That word was manly right?
Maybe that would cheer him up a little.
"Oh. Thank you," he said without a changing expression.
Damn it!
What the hell am I supposed to do?
He's not even listening to anything I'm saying!
He's just letting all his thoughts eat at him freely.
"If you change your mind about breakfast, just holler." I closed his door and walked to the kitchen.
Damn Felix...I thought we established that you'd tell me everything and come to me with every problem.
"Um, what's up with that look on your face Owen?" Kamille laughed.
"I will fight you if you speak to me again," I snapped.
"Okay buddy. I was just gonna say happy birthday."
I forgot.
Oh hell.
"Oh I'm sorry! Thank you so much though Kamille! You're too sweet!"
"I got a present for you if you wait right here!" she ran off.
Oh gee.
Was it an anime body pillow?
Because if Felix told Kamille I like anime, I will sue him!
She came out holding her hands behind her back.
"Oh god what is it?" I laughed.
"You can now legally drink alcohol!" She cheered, handing me a bottle.
"Is this..."
"Hardcore moonshine!"
"Isn't this something hicks drink?"
"You're a hick Owen. You got the accent."
"I do not sound like a-"
"Happy birthday Owen!" She squeaked and walked off with a skip in her step.
What a weirdo.
Even though I wasn't a fan of alcohol, I was grateful she at least went through the burden of buying me something.
No matter how small it was...I didn't deserve it.
I wasn't any special guy. I didn't want people celebrating me on my birthday. There are people that deserve the attention more than I do.
Maybe a little bit of alcohol will get Felix's spirits up.
Even though it was a depressant...
And gave you migraines...
