I had been staring off for quite some time now that I hadn't realized Rover had awaken.
"Mommy?" He sat up smiling, his blue eyes just barely open and his ponytailed hair disoriented.
"Good morning, my precious baby," walking over to him on the bed I took him in my arms and held him tightly. "Happy birthday, my prince."
"Thank you mommy. What's for breakfast? I hungry!"
I laughed lightly, "why don't we get you changed and your hair tied up and out of your face then we can go down and see what's cooking, how's that sound?"
"Like a plan!" He bolted to his room and came back with fresh new clothes he had chosen from his wardrobe, "I like these ones."
"Okay, those ones it is." I quickly changed him and fixed his hair, "alright let's go!"
