"Echo, move your finger if you can hear me." I stood next to Echo almost every day during her recovery. Echo was a vital member of Azgeda, she, like Jessica were our top spies but also our top female warriors. We all grew up together in addition to Echo's brother Sphinx who was killed in battle protecting her. I tried my luck again, "Echo, move your finger if you can hear me."
A few seconds later, I heard a sort of croaking sound, "geez prince, can't you ask me to move my leg or toe? My finger is tired from all the moving."
Smiling, I looked at Echo, "glad to see you're awake." I called for Clarke and she came running in moments later.
"Hey!" She greeted Echo and me. She turned her direction solely on Echo, checking her vitals at the same time, "how are you feeling? Any pain or lightheadedness? Nausea? Loss of memory?"
"I'm fine, just kind of thirsty." I offered to get the water as Clarke did a final look over of Echo.
When I got back, Kane, Abby, Jackson, Rachel and Bellamy had all gathered around Clarke and Echo.
"Now that you're awake, we can start moving." Bellamy stated nonchalantly.
"Bellamy," Clarke warned, "she just woke up, we have to give it some time."
"We don't have time. Who knows what Jessica could be planning."
"Wait," I interjected, "is this what it's all about? Are we planning an attack on Jessica?"
"NO!" Clarke said sternly.
"Yes!" Bellamy replied right after Clarke.
"BELLAMY."
"CLARRKKKE." He rolled his eyes at her.
All the while Echo just looked at us with concern laced through her eyes.
"What is it Echo? Something is wrong."
"KANE!" Monty and Harper came running into the medical bay both huffing and puffing just trying to get enough oxygen into their system, "Az-g-hyayaaa"
"Monty, I need you to breathe and speak calmly." Kane said putting his hand on Monty's shoulder and breathing with him.
Harper shook her head and took a deep breath, "AZGEDA IS AT THE GATES."
"Let them in," Echo said her face wrinkling from pain as she forced herself to sit up on the cot, "they're looking for me."
