12.JESSICA POV

Rachel and I made our way out of the dining hall and walked over to a suite at the East side of the castle where one of my right hand ladies, Lochta, lived at. There she lived with her son Ethan who was Rover's best friend. I had sent Rover to play with Ethan while I was at dinner with the others.
Upon arriving at the front of Lochta's door I couldn't help but to feel quite hesitant about the whole situation. The only one who really knew of the actual story was Confid, and sure the people of Azgeda knew I had a son, but they also all knew that they'd be dead if they were to be caught talking about it.
I looked over my shoulder at Rachel who had a look of anticipation on her face, "okay look, aside from Confid, you're probably the only other living person that's going to know this whole secret I'm hiding."
"Okay...can you show me now?"
With that, I knocked on the door and was greeted by Lochta, her blond hair braided in two and her blue dress casually draping over her body.
"Gona, I wasn't expecting you so soon!"
"I just came to get Rover," Lochta looked at me with wide eyes as she realized Rachel had accompanied me, "don't worry Lochta, it's okay to talk about Rover around her. Actually...that's part of the reason we came. I wanted to introduce her to him. Do you know where he is?"
"Yes, the boys were just playing. Let me just....ETHAN! ROVER!" Silence. "Hmm, they were here a second ago...ETHAN!"
A few seconds later, heavy footsteps and ragged breathing could be heard down the halls. Ethan. "I'm here!"
"Where on earth were you child?!"
"I was playing with Rover!"
"Around the castle?" Lochta put her hands on her hips as her demeanor had changed, "what did I say about running around the castle?"
"That I should not."
"Yet you did!" He only nodded as he clasped his hands together and looked down at his feet. Lochta sighed, "alright, well where is Rover now?"
Ethan looked up instantly, "I think he's still hiding."
My body tensed up, "hiding?"
"Yeah, we were playing hide and seek and now I can't find him. I even asked the man in the back halls to help me find him."
"What man? Back halls? Jessica?!" Rachel exclaimed.
"The man in the back halls, the man from Azgeda."
"What was his name, Ethan?" I asked trying to remain calm.
"Roan! We looked all over for Rover but I can't find him. He's a really good hide and seeker." Ethan only smiled, his three year old mind not grasping the fact that this game had turned into a nightmare. Rover wasn't hiding, he was missing.
Composing my thoughts I told Rachel to distract Ethan as I pulled Lochta aside, "keep Ethan with you at all times. If he says anything about what he and Rover did, like where they were playing, if there were any people around them, let me know immediately. Keep all your doors locked. I'm sending out a search party to find Rover but don't tell Ethan, I don't want him thinking it's his fault."
"Of course, Gona. I will call for my husband to help your search party, it's the least we can do."
I smiled at her kind gesture, "No, it's alright Lochta, you stay together. My men can take care of this themselves. Just have your eyes open in case Rover comes back."
I grabbed Rachel out of the room and we made haste to go find some help.
