35. JESSICA POV AZGEDA

As we approached the gates of Azgeda, Roan still carrying me in his arms, I could hear the guards shouting to the people that we had arrived.

Finally getting through the crowds of people out front, I asked Roan to bring me to Rover.

"He's in your room waiting for you, Gona." Confide directed us.

I hopped out of Roan's arms and pulling him along to the master's chambers. KNOCK KNOCK! I peaked my head through the doors seeing that Rover was trying to peak at who was at the door as well. "MOMMY!" Rover bolted into my arms and bawled, "I missed you so much. Ai hod yu in."

"I love you too, my little prince."

When Rover let go of our embrace he went over to Roan and hugged him too, "thank you for bringing my mommy back."

"I promised you I would didn't I?" Roan held Rover's chin as Rover beamed up at Roan. The sight of the two finally together made my heart melt.

"Mommy?"

"Yes baby?"

"You and Roan should date!" Rover said smiling raising both eyebrows.

"Excuse me little man, where did you learn about dating?!"

"Bellamy told me about it in the woods!"

"Well remind us to talk to Bellamy about that later. Roan said chuckling.

"Actually Rove, there's something Roan and inbred to tell you." I picked Rover up and we all went and snuggled on the bed.

"What is it mommy?"

"Rover, you know how I told you I would tell you about your dad when I thought you were ready?"

"Am I ready now mommy? Is daddy here??" His head shifted around the room excitedly looking for a man who could be his father.

"Yeah Rover," Roan said a crack in his voice, "Daddy's right here."

Rover jumped up and latched onto Roan, it was the first time in my life that I had seen Roan cry. Meanwhile, Skaikru came in while Roan and Rover continued hugging.

"Dad." I smiled at Kane.

"Everything is all good, the guards have been warned about Tethos." Kane assures me, looking at Rover and Roan he smiles, "looks like the family is back together." I grabbed Dad's hand and pulled him over to Rover.

"Rove, there's someone else I want you to meet," Rover sat up, attentive. "This man is Marcus Kane. The chancellor of Skaikru, he's my biological father and your-" I booped his nose, "grandpa." Just as he did to Roan, Rover jumped into Marcus' and hugged him tightly.

"Wow mommy!" Rover exclaimed, "I get new friends," he points to Skaikru, "a grandpa and a dad! And you get a dad and a husband!"

"Haha, something like that. More like a dad and my old flame. We never did get married like we planned." I giggled, looking over at Roan who had stood up and was now wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Well then what are we waiting for?" Roan turned me around as he on one knee, "Jessica, I love you more than life itself. You give me hope and strength. You've bear my first born and will hopefully bear many more of our children. I don't see a future without you or Rover in my life, so I ask now in front of our family, friends and closest allies...will you take my hand in marriage and allow me to rule beside you as your equal over our Azgeda?"

"Took you long enough scarface." I laughed just as everyone did.

"Is that a yes?"

"YES." Confide was called in to bring the sacred sword. Roan slit his palm just as I did mine and we grasped each other's hand, "through blood we bond-" I started.

"A pact we must not break even after death-" Roan continued.

"For love is sacred and lives on forever. Together we stay strong, invincible and in love. And when we pass, our memory will live on through the people of Azgeda." We finished together.

"NOW KISS!" Rover shouted. Just as it was ordered, Roan and I shared a passionate kiss that took me back to our very first time. I had my family together, and that's all that mattered now.
