Promise?

It was July 4th... kells and i had hooked up at least 5 more times. But I still was super depressed. All I wanted was to be with her. Our 1 year is next week. I told Mike Emily wasn't aloud around if kelly wasn't here. So they've been doing  their own thing. The boys and I, my parents, my brother in law and nieces and nephews, along with some of the guys from the band we were out in boats. My phone went off with a text.

Kells: wanna meet up?
Me: family day at the Lake....
Kells: oh 🙁
Me: what are you doing?
Kells: laying here watching stupid tv shows.
Me: come out to the lake.
Kells: no...
Me: hey, please if not for me for our boys.
Kells: Luke....
Me: come back to me Kells. I love you so much and I know you love me if you didn't you wouldn't be hooking up with me.
Kells: I have a confession

My heart sunk. She was with someone else. I couldn't believe it she was typing back still so I waited.

Kells: I miss you. I miss you so much. I want you Luke every second of every day. Being away from each other is horrible. I won't be able to stay home while you're On tour. That's why I broke up with you. I broke up with you because if we aren't together I can't get mad about you being away all the time.

Me: we will make it work kelly. I'm willing to give up everything for you. As long as I have you I'm perfectly fine. Come out darling. Please I'm begging you. You won't regret it.

Kells: send me the details. What should I wear?

Me: Lake Blackshear launch dock 4. I'd prefer nothing but since its family oriented. Shorts and a tank top. Swimming suit under it. Call me when you get close

Kells: okay... Luke...

Me: yes darling?

Kells: I love you and I'm so sorry.

Me: I love you too and I'm sorry too. It's in the past now stop texting me and get your ass here 😁

"BoBo, Taterbug" I said. Thy thought Kells was out of town for school and basketball.
"Yeah?" They said. Everyone was looking.
"Kelly is home and she's coming out."

They both started screaming and jumping. My mom and brother in law just shook their heads. So did some of the guys from the band.

**2 hours later**

My phone started ringing. Everyone looked at me as I dropped my pole.  It was her.

"Hello!" I said probably a little to excited.
"I'm here..." she said hesitant.
"Okay. We are coming back in now." I said. I hung up.

"Seriously Luke?" Ben said.
"Listen she's the love of my life. I need her here with me."

I got the boat back in. I saw her standing there my
Heart skipped a beat. She was so beautiful.

"Omg... she looks so sick she's lost so much weight" I heard someone whisper.
"Or maybe drugs..." someone else said. I turned around pissed.

"Or maybe because we broke up for a little bit assholes" I said angry. Everyone just looked. I ran off the boat. I picked her up in my arms and swing her around. I put her on her feet and I started kissing her.

"Mommmmyyyy!" I heard both of the boys yell. She picked both of them up and hugged them tight.
"I missed you guys" she whispered to them.

"Alright everyone shall we go back to our house for a cookout?" I said. Everyone started packing up.
"I'll drive your car home Kells." Michael said.
"Really?" She said surprised.
"Yes, spend some time with your boys."

I saw her mouth thank you. Everyone got into their cars and were off she helped buckle the boys in. I pushed her against the side of the truck.

"Tomorrow we will go move your stuff back home. I love you" I told her.
"I love you too. But Luke?"
"Yeah Kells."
"Promise me things will change."
"Whatever you want you will get darling. "

**Kells POV**

It was around 1am. The boys just went to bed since everyone left about 30 mins ago... I was standing in his... well our room. I didn't feel comfortable at all. I came here to have sex once since we split and literally did that and Ext. He came in and took his shirt off.

Shit have I missed that body it's been about a week. He started undoing his belt he paused.

"Uhm. Forget clothes? You know you can wear one of my shirts but..." he said coming over wrapping his arms around me.
"I plan to get you naked." He said. I tensed up.
"Listen Luke I'm nervous...."
"Kelly..." he said. "What?" I asked. He walked over to his dresser.

"Sit." He said pointing to the bed. I did as he asked. He sighed. He came over with a Jewelry box.
"Luke I can't marry you yet..." I said because it was a ring box.

He sat next to me. He opened it. I gasped.

"Kelly this is a promise ring. I promise to love you. I promise to hold onto you. More importantly I promise to one day make this into an engagement ring and then I promise to make that one into a wedding ring. What do you say. Promise to be with me?" He asked you could tell he was nervous.

"Yes Luke!" I said. He put it on my right hand. Before I knew it we were tangled up in the sheets making love. Afterwards we were cuddling. I grabbed my phone.

"Smile!" I said holding my hand up. He had the biggest grin. I logged onto instagram to post on There, Facebook, and twitter.

I posted it. We both shut our phones off so we could sleep and not have them blowing up all night. I snuggled into him.

"I love you Kells, welcome home darling." He said and I drifted off to sleep.
