Bo and Tate

It was Christmas Eve. It was around noon. Luke and I were waiting for the boys. I was super excited that we got them earlier and longer. We were going to take them to see Santa then to church and home to have a nice family dinner with everyone since my family would be in this afternoon.

Mama was going to stay here and finish stuff up while we were out. Then she was going to have dinner there tomorrow and everything.

We heard the front door open. We both jumped up from the island and went out. Both of the boys flew over into our arms. We hugged them tight.

Then Luke picked them both up in his arms and hugged them. He kissed both of their heads.

"Daddy can I see mommy now?" Bo asked. Luke laughed he set them both down and I sat on the floor and had them both sit on my lap.

"I missed you boys" I said hugging them.
"Don't make us go back...." Bo said. I looked up at luke and mama.... she frowned and walked away.

"Sweetie I'm sorry I can't stop that neither can Daddy but listen... even though we have a short time together we will go and do so much fun stuff y'all want to go see Santa?" I asked. They jumped up.
"Ya!!!" Tate said and ran to the door. He still had his jacket and shoes on.

"He's worried Santa isn't coming because we haven't seen him yet...." bo said....
"My Mom told me he isn't real... but I'm not telling tater that.." bo then said. Luke was mad I could tell.
"Well Bo-Bo, santa is only real if you believe and are a good person. And guess what you are so guess what. Santa is real" I said Luke smiled...

"Mom said we aren't getting many toys there because Daddy won't give her money. But I said that's okay we won't be there long" he said walking away.

"He's not even 5 yet! How is he so grown up" Luke said upset. He helped me up.
"I know babe... I feel bad..."

We grabbed our jackets and Luke grabbed the diaper bag for Tate. He almost fell down the steps. Bo grabbed him.

"He's has to walk everywhere lately he's tired I'm not strong enough to carry him." Bo said. I reached down and picked him up.

"You're an awesome big brother Bo"

Luke got them in the truck.

"How about we skip church." He said after they were in.
"You sure?" I asked.
"If it's okay with you...I just... i don't know they need to be here having fun... I'd say take them ice skating but I know you can't and I don't know if tater could do it."
"That's fine babe.. whatever you want" I said smiling.

After we got back from the mall we walked in and the boys had to go to their rooms to check them out. Mama was done with everything prep wise dinner would be done around 6. My family was getting in around 330, it was only 230. They were all staying here. My parents, my brother and my nephew since him and his wife got a divorce and then Nikos parents were coming too since his siblings faded out after he passed. We had a photographer coming at 4 for family pictures of Luke the boys and myself.

The following morning the boys were jumping on our bed at 5am. Normally Luke and I would make them wait until at least 6 if not 7 but we knew they were excited. Everyone was sleeping so we decided to do their gifts from santa and us first. We walked down and they both screamed st all the presents.

All of bos had a green bow and all of Tate's had a red bow.

After an hour of opening gifts There was a big present from "santa" with a blue bow.  Lucy was sniffing it.

"Who's that for?" Bo asked.
"Hmm let's see" Luke said going over and looking.
"Both of you from santa"

They started opening it.

"No way!"  Bo said. Tate was all smiles s
"Daddy yours" Tate said.

It was a big black Chevy Silverado power wheel.

"Well would ya look at that" Luke said.
"Can we ride it!!!" Bo asked.
"Hold on hold on. First let's go to the garage and give mommy her last present and we have to give you our presents from us" he said. I was confused.

"Luke we did our present from us and the kids before Santa's"
"I know but I got you something else." He said smiling. We went out.

"Okay tater you go first" luke said he pulled the sheet off and squealed.

It was a black and red battery quad. He was so excited he tried getting in but he wa still to small. I put him on with his help and he was smiling.

Bo took his off and it was his first real quad.

"No way Daddy!" He said and jumped on and grabbed the helmet.
"Like It?!" We asked he nodded.

"Last but not least" Luke said opening the garage door. It was a pink camp quad.

"Luke!" I said hitting him.
"It's from us mommy!" Bo said.
"Thank you boys" I said kneeling down hugging them.
"You needed your own here so why not" Luke said kissing me.

Before we knew it it was time to give the boys back to Coraline. We ended up taking them since mama couldn't and we cleared that with the lawyers. When we pulled into the parking lot she got out and she had a guy in the truck. Luke jumped out. And didn't close his door.

"Who's that?" He said pissed.
"My brother just chill." She said going to open his back door.
"Don't touch my car" he said. I got out and got Tate out. And bo jumped out. He walked over. I handed Luke Tate. He handed him to Coraline and she put him on the ground.

"Bo get your brother in his seat please" she said.
"Uh no! ABSOULETLY not" like said.
"Excuse me"
" be a mother and stop making Bo grow up so fast he said living with me was like vacation because he doesn't have to be a parent to Tate even though he loves him he gets a break!" I grabbed Luke's arm and pulled him back since he was in her face yelling.

"Luke it's okay. We will get the arrangements changed come on"

Bo wa still getting Tate in.

"Having your girlfriend fight your fights so cute" she said.
"No but yo I aren't worth his time I do more for those boys and love them more than you do and I'm only their step mom but I wouldn't trade anything with them for the world..." I said. I started walking to my side of the truck.

"Stupid little slut" She said. My face got red. I took a deep breath.
"Better than a drug addict" I said getting in. I was fuming but I was okay  good luke got in. He smiled.

"I love you and thank you" He said. I just smiled as we pulled out.
