To the Moon and Back

Coraline

She woke up to her alarm. She groaned. I shut it off.

"Morning darlin" i  said.
"Morning...I don't feel like cooking it's 5am." She  said.
"Hey I'll go down and do it you sleep you need your rest."
"I told my mom I would help her, and your mama is coming she already doesn't like me"
"Stopp it it's okay. I'll be back up to cuddle in a little." I said kissing her head.

I put a shirt and shorts on. I walked down and I heard her mom and my mom. They both got along so well I was surprised since mama wasn't a big fan of Kells. I walked in.

"Morning ladies." I said and they turned.
"Good morning Luke. Is kelly okay?" Her mom asked.
"She's exhausted. So here I am to take her place" I said. I walked over to mama.

"Hi mama happy thanksgiving" I said kissing her cheek.
"Good morning baby boy" she said.

"Luke I think we can handle it." My mama said.
"Are you guys sure?" I asked.
"Definitely."  Her mom said.
"Well I am going to go down and work out then" I said grabbing s water out of the fridge.

"Luke why don't you go lay with Kelly. Keep an eye on her" my mama said. I was shocked.
"She likes the bed to herself, only a mile, and a few reps." I said heading down to my workout room. Which was right next to me studio.

I turned my music on. I jumped on the tred mill and started running. I felt so out of shape. I just kept running and I didn't pay attention. I noticed i was on for 45 mins. I looked to see I ran almost 5 miles. I slowed down until I hit the 5 and stopped.

Such a weight was lifted off of my Shoulders. I've been so stressed this past day. Jus the whole kelly thing and Coraline sent court papers the yester day to try and get custody after she got of probation with the whole drug thing with Kelly and them clear back when. I have yet to tell kelly. She doesn't need the stress.

I went over and threw on 60lbs on the weight bench to start out. I did about 15 reps and stopped. I got up and got 80 on. I started again, another 15 reps and nothing. I sat up.

"Need a spotter?" I heard Kells dad say.
"Would ya mind?" I asked.
"Of course not." He said.

I put it up to 125lbs. I did a set of 10 reps and rested. I started another set of 10, and rested again.

"What's wrong son?" Her dad said. I sat up and rested my face in my hands.
"My ex wife wants custody of the boys. She's taking em to court since she got off of probation." I hated even bringing it up to her dad I'm lucky I still have kelly In my life after what happened.

"Geez Luke." He said sitting on the stool.
"I just... I can't let her get those boys... and kelly will be so stressed..."
"Kelly will be fine..."
"Mr. Hall, I love her more than anything..."
"I know you do... we will get her to have therapy down here."
"Really??"
"Of course, she belongs here with you."
"Thank you sir... should I tell her today?"
"About coraline? I think so"

After we talked for a few more minutes I went upstairs. We stopped in the kitchen.

"Luke you need to shower" mama said as I grabbed a handful of grapes she had out for fruit salad.
"I'm going mama." I said.
"Luke how about we have dessert at your moms house, then if you and kelly want to leave early her dad and I can bring the boys home." Her mom said.
"Yeah that sounds good to me." I said.

I ran up the stairs. As soon as I opened the door she woke up. She looked at me.

"Cooking caused you to sweat that bad?" She asked laughing.
"They made me leave as soon as we got down there. They have it under control so I ran 5 miles and did some lifting"
"Alone?? Luke! You always yelled at me."
"Don't worry your dad came down half way through when I was lifting heavy stuff."
"Okay...." she said.
"How are you feeling?"
"Better. A lot better. Still want you bad."
"Soon darling..." I said. She sat up straighter.

"Come talk to me what's wrong? Another dream?" She asked.

I sat next to her. I left out a sigh.

"Luke...."
"I got court papers yesterday..."
"What!?" She said nervous.
"Coraline is off of probation....she's going for custody...." I said. Her face went pale.
"Luke how could they give custody to her????"
"I'm gone a lot... i don't know... she passed her drug screens she just planted the stuff on you... I'm so nervous kelly..." I told her.

She was staring off. I shouldn't have told her.

"Okay, we will figure it out... I need to push myself more In therapy so I can take care of them alone.... maybe we can get married sooner so my parents are their actual step grandparents and hopefully that'll help with them helping... uhm" she said she was so hyper and Antsy about it.

"Kells calm down, you need to relax and get better. I will take care of it all."
"When's court?"
"Monday..."
"What!?"
"It's fine. Stay calm. I'm not telling them boys at all. I will figure it out darling. I'm calling my later tomorrow again he already knows about the papers. I got carter and black mike definitely going to court with me I'm sure the rest of the guys will. I got jess and Dierks wife. My mama and daddy, it'll be fine"
"I'm coming."
"Kelly...."
"No! I'm coming she did this to me she isn't getting our precious boys!"
"I know... we will talk... just lay here and read and when I'm done I. The shows we will head downstairs okay."
"Okay...." she said. I kissed her and went in and started the shower
