"So... it'll be a couple minutes before we arrive to our destination." The green gem spat. She was sweating. and when I mean sweating, I don't mean a light jog. I mean it looked like she had just taken a shower. Something was up.
" Um... Are you okay?" I asked, showing concern for a gem who was clearly in distress.
"Um.. Yeah" I saw the expression on her face. She was a terrible liar.
"No, your not" I responded sternly. "Something is clearly bothering you!"
"Its just..." She started "When the diamonds find out that both a Peridot, a wanted fugitive, and a escape pod all went missing... They... They will have us..."
I gasped right before quietly whispering the end of her sentence. "Shattered"
We both stared at each other for a couple seconds. Shattered. The thought horrified me. I imagined how it would look, how it would feel, and how much pain it would be. I was lost in a rumbling sea of my own horrific thoughts. Before I could stop myself, I realized I was crying...
Peridot picked up on this and said "It's fine. We won't get shattered. Not while I'm here to protect you!" She then put a brave face on.
I smiled and laughed " I'm going to have to protect you silly!" I barely got out within all the laughter.
I soon looked out the window and saw what I assumed was the Earth. The pod began to rumble and shake as we entered it's atmosphere. I shook so much that I fell on to peridot.
We gazed into each other eyes for a moment. What a wonderful moment. Well, a wonderful one while it lasted, as I was soon blasted back to where I was original.
We soon came to a complete and sudden stop. We both looked out as peridot stated, "We're here"
