Peridot X Reader

Alone Together

It was some sort of... fleshy creature. I didn't know what is was, but I didn't like it.

"Peridot, stay behind me." I commanded

"Bu-" She retorted

Before she could even finish, I stepped in front of her. My gem was still cracked, and I was still in imminence pain, but that did not matter anymore. All that mattered was protecting my Peri.

"Wha- Who are you?" The creature asked.

I couldn't fight them, so I the only thing I could do. I ran. I picked up Peri, and ran towards the entry way. The only problem with that plan was... that strange, fleshy, creature was blocking the exit... I quickly pushed him aside and ran faster than I had ever ran in my life.

"Wait! Come back!...." I heard the creature scream, barely,  since I was already very far ahead.

I then came out what looked like a gem base, mostly because of all the weapons, warp pad, and gem artifacts.

"Uh... Peridot. We have to leave. NOW!"

"But G/N! You are in no condition to run keep doing this! You're very badly damaged!" Peridot yelled.

"I know but-"

My words were cut off when the door we came out of opened with that same fleshy creature in it.

He stepped forward towards us, but that only made me step back. Only a moment later, the warp pad I saw earlier flashed a bright blue light, and three gems emerged from it.

I tried to run away, but it was no use. they blocked all the entry ways. I finally spotted a door and quickly ran into it.

While I was still gasping for air, I heard one of the gems mention that this was some sort of  Bath Room. I  had no idea what that was, nor did I care.

"Umm... G/N, Could you please put me down?" Peridot asked.

I had forgotten that I was still holding her. "Oh, yeah. Sorry"

"It's fine."

"Peridot, are you ok?" I asked

"You're asking me if I'm ok! Look at yourself! You have only gotten worse since you got here!" She yelled!

"Why do you care about me so much! You are my everything! And I... I'm nothing... I'm just a G/N" I was now crying. Why was I though?

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!" Peridot screamed at me. She quickly covered her mouth. "Um... I mean... Uh... Um-"

'No-No. It's ok. I... I love you to. We were both blushing a lot now. We both went in for a hug.

"Do you really... Love... Me?" I asked

"Of coarse. I just wish you loved yourself a fraction as much as I loved you..."

"O...Ok. I'll try too do that..."

"Really!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah... But not for me... for you..." This made my lips gently curl into a genuine smile.

The door behind us suddenly opened, and those gems were standing right in it. I couldn't summon my weapon, but I was will to fight, none the less.

I was just about to fight them when I noticed something weird. they didn't seem angry at all. In fact, the tallest gem was smiling widely and blushing.

This was strange. Why were they doing this?  Was it some sort of sick tactic. we both just stared at each other, in shock. But I had a feeling that we were both shocked in two different ways.
