Peridot X Reader

Deep thoughts

The fusion stepped forward towards us. I stepped in front of Peridot, but she just stepped right back out beside me again. They looked directly at us and stared at us. When I say stare directly at us, I mean she was literally inches from my face. After a good 30 seconds I grew quite nervous.

"Hmm... Sure." She plainly stated.

"R-Really! Yes!" Peridot exclaimed.

"Uh...Garnet, Are you sure this is a good idea?" Pearl started. She then muttered, "Their from homeworld."

Garnet, huh. So, that's her name. So then.... Garnet.... put up her hand and spoke, "Pearl, If I didn't think it was a good idea, then why would I let them stay? Would I lie?"

"Hmm... No... I guess your right, but they aren't staying HERE... Right?"

"No."

Peridot had been parading around me, but suddenly stopped when the fusio- Garnet spoke.

"You can stay here, on one condition. You have too promise never, ever, to try to attack us."

"Fine." I responded. "Just as long as you never touch my Peri..."

"Agreed."

"So, where i sour section?" Peridot asked.

"Over here." Garnet said, as she walked out the house. We followed her for a while until we go to some sort of wooden building.

"Here."

"Perfect! Great idea, Garnet!" The pearl exclaimed for some reason. Also, I juts want to put this out, who's Pearl is she? Probably the fusion, since she always listens to her.

"Uhmm... Thanks" I said half glad that Peridot was happy, but also cross because I had to spend time with those crystal gems. Oh well, anything for my little Peri. I didn't even notice that I was blushing.

"Uhh... G/N? Are you OK?

"Y-Yeah..."

"If you say so."

I wasn't. I was very uncomfortable. I'm sorry Peri...

Soon enough, they left, leaving Peridot and I in the.... Barn? Was that what this structure was called. I don't know.

*Peridot's P.O.V*

I know what you're thinking, why in the sacred name of yellow diamond would I want to live with these rebels. Well... the truth is,  I don't. Not really. Sure they don't seem as bad as G/N makes them out to be, but I would still rather have SOMEWHERE to live. Somewhere... for us to live...

I know it's strange for a gem like ME to say this, but I care about G/N more than anything in this world. I would do anything for her, anything to keep her safe. Once I saw those gems, a little spark of... what is it... Hope! Hope flurried through me. I though that they could heal her, and they did, and I'm thankful for that, I don't know what I'd do with myself if I lost her forever... Well, maybe I'd...

Never mind, the point is that we both weren't safe out there, especially G/N, she was getting worse by the minute and I had to do something.

*Your P.O.V*

Peridot had been silent for a while, and blushed frequently, it was weird and creepy... but admittedly, adorable.

"Uh... Peridot?" I curiously asked. She soon snapped out of her gaze. "Are you alright?"

"Uhhhh..... Yeah." She responded, "Just... thinking.

"Well, ok. I won't ask, but come here, I want to try something." I requested.

"Ooookay...."

I laid down while peridot laid down next to me. When she was right in front of me, I grabbed her and pulled her towards me.

"Well, this is comfortable and all, but what's the point of all this?"

"Hmm... I don't know, I just thought it would be cool. What if we... close our eyes."

Peridot agreed and we soon both drifted off to sleep, Peridot cradled in my arms. For the first time on this new and strange planet, we were both at peace.

Sorry for the small hiatus, guys! I've been really busy! I hope you enjoyed the summer. Also, since school is starting soon, I won't be able to update as much as I'd like too! So sorry!
