Peridot X Reader

Unexpected events

I woke up, and stretched out, still keeping one arm on Peri. I then, slowly fluttered my eyes open, and realized that there were four shadows leaning over us.

I then screamed slightly, which then caused caused Peridot too wake up. She quickly jumped up, and yelled "What is it Babe? I'll kill 'em!"

Because of this, I burst out into laughter, while blushing of course, she had called me... Babe! I mean, I think we all kinda knew this sword was coming soon, one way or another.

"It's ok! It's ok!" I chuckled.

She then looked back at me, "Oh... Well.... If anything DOES try to get you, I'll will destroy them!"

I continued laughing, "Ok, my little warrior..." I got out as I continued to laugh. Suddenly I stopped, when I say stop I mean I did a 60 to a 0 in a matter of seconds.

We were both staring in them, wondering what they were going to do, and in fear...

"..." The science went on for a couple more seconds until the fusio- I mean... Garnet, I am never gonna get that right, said, "Aww. You too really do love each other."

"You guys are sooo cute!!!" The short fleshy creature exclaimed.

It was then that I realized that I didn't even know their name, "Hey um... You!" I directed my finger at them, " What is your... um... name?" This was an awkward question to ask, but I needed to know.

"Oh, I'm Steven! but that's besides the point! You guys are so adorable!"

"Yes! You guys looked so happy next to each other!" The Pearl started, "How did you even manage to learn how to sleep?"

"Sle" I started "eep?" Peridot finished.

" I have no idea what that is" I responded.

"It's what you were doing!" The Amethyst said.

"Oh" Peridot said. "Sleeping wasn't that bad!"

"Yeah, not bad at all...~" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Suddenly  we heard a loud thump. This startled both me and Peridot and we ended up hugging each other tightly. It sounded like it came from the roof.

"I wonder what that was?" Amethyst said.

We all then agreed to go and investigate it. We steadily climbed up the roof and saw that there was a...... Gem! A blue gem. They had a blue dress, and shoulder length hair! I then noticed the gem on it's back. It was a Lapis Lazuli. Wait a minute! I inspected it a little more, and realized that this wasn't just any Lapis, it was my old friend from the war! I though she had been....

Tears had started to swell up, "Lapis!" I exclaimed. I was overjoyed to see that she was ok!

"G/N!" She yelled back. "It's been so long! I am so happy to see you! I would love to stay and talk, but... I kinda have someone on my tail."

"Who?" I asked. I hope it wasn't another gem. This could mean big trouble for everybody.

"Jasper..." She whispered, while looking in to the distance.

A.... Jasper! Oh, no. I saw why she was looking in to the distance. Jasper was heading right towards us.

"G/N, you have to leave!" Lapis wearily yelled.

I responded with a why. Why on Earth would I leave, I need to protect her. I lost her once I wasn't gonna lose her again. I looked at Peridot, she looked kinda ticked off by all this. Wonder why?

"Just GO!" She yelled. I grabbed Peridot and started to go, but lapis then looked at me and stated, "You can't bring her with you! She'll slow you down!"

I then looked at her, full of anger,"I would rather DIE than leave Peridot's side."

"Why do you even like her! What about u-"

Lapis was but off. Jasper had caught up with us.

"Hey Lazuli, it's been a while."

i have some BIG plans for the next chapters. They will start to get VERY interesting. So, stay tuned. You are in for a treat. ;)
