The Truth

Elise's POV

I heard the doorbell and went to get the door knowing it's Brad. I opened the door to see Brad, Zhendo Chara, Milan Lucic, Tuukka Task, Shawn Throton, and Torey Krug.

I smiled at them Brad spoke up "I figured since we were in Pittsburgh I would bring the guys. I gave Brad a hug and mumbled a "thank you." The gave all the boys a hug. When I got to Shawn I basically tackled him. He laughed "Nice to see you too kid." I welcomed them all in and told them they better behave.

We walked back to the living room. Matt and Shawn glared at each other. Matt hissed "Thorton" in response Shawn said "Cooke." I stood between the men "alright boys your not on the ice you can call down." Shawn and Matt sighed "Fine!" I laughed at how childish they were.

Marc looked at me "Elise do you mind if Vero comes over?" I smiled at the mention of my best friend "Of course Marc I love Vero! She can come over anytime she wants!" Marc smiled "Okay I'll tell her to come over."

I turned my attention to the talk men sitting in the couch Jordon, Marc, Big Z , Geno, and Looch. Sid walked over "I see this is the tall guy coach" he then sat down. "I laughed "Sid, you, Brad, and I all can sit only the tiny people coach." Sid just chuckled.

Kris looked at me "Brad and I have a surprise for you." I turned to them standing next to each other. I raised and eyebrow with a smile on my face "What is it?" Brad and Kris smiled "We have to wait until your dad gets here with Chance and Anthony." I nodded "Okay I'll wait."

Vero walked in the door with my dad and little brothers behind them. Chance and Tony ran up to me and yelled in unison "sissy I missed you and Kris!" All the boys mouth dropped. Max turned to Brad and Kris "You said her dad and that's Mario! Mario is your dad?!"

Elise just processed what was going on. She looked at her dad and brother the were as shocked as her. The secret they protect for years was now out. Mario spoke up and looked at Kris and I "It's time we told them." I nodded and Kris did also.

Mario's POV
I looked at the boy in front of me. "This will stay a secret between us. Kris and Elise are my children. There name was changed to Letang when they were born. They took the name Letang after there mother."

Jordon spoke up "Where's there mom." Pascal punched Jordon in the arm "You don't ask someone that if you never heard them mention there mother." I looked at Pascal "Thank you, but I think they should know about that too."

I frowned and Elise wrapped me in a hug which I returned. Elise sat back down on the couch between Max and Geno.I began to speak "There mother died when they were kids. She lost her life due to breast cancer. She passed away on the twins birthday. She looked a lot like Elise. Elise basically raised Chance and Anthony when I was gone playing hockey. If you ever wondered how Sid met Elise they met when Sid moved in with me at Pittsburgh."

Elise POV

The thought of my mom killed me. I couldn't hold in the tears they started streaming down my face. Geno looked at me and pulled me into a hug. He rubbed my back trying to calm me down.

I took my head out of the crook of his neck and looked at my dad. My dad was trying to hold back the tears. It broke my heart to see my dad like that. Tony and Chance gave my dad a hug which made him smile.

When we all calmed down. Well so I thought. Jordon stood up and looked at me "I can't believe you wouldn't tell us Mario was you father! For all we did for you! I told you everything and gave you all my time! You couldn't even tell me one simple ting!" Jordon stormed out of the room. I yelled "Jordon wait!" He turned around "No Elise! Don't even bother I'm doing wasting my time with you!" He slammed the door.

Pascal and Matt whispered to each other. They looked up and said in unison "we'll get him." Then they walked out the door to get Jordon.

Brad looked at my father and I. "I want to show you guys something. Maybe it will make you feel better." My Dad and I nodded. Brad and Kris walked outside with us. I saw a car pull up to the house.

What I saw next was Jensen walking out in his uniform. I haven't seen him in over a year. I ran to my big brother and hugged him "your home...your finally home." He smiled and kissed my cheek. Then looked up to my dad "Aren't you going to give your favorite son a hug?!" Chance, Tony, and Kris all yelled "Hey!" My Dad ignored them and hugged Jensen for what seemed like forever.

We are a family that loves each other. We protect each other and look out for one another. We are a broken family. But we made it through all the ruff times and grew stronger.

Jordon's POV

I was so mad and I didn't know why. Elise and I were so close it hurt to know that she kept a secret from me. It hurt and it hurt bad. I sat in my car and hit my head off the steering wheel.

Then I heard a knocked on my window. It was Matt with Pascal next to him. I rolled my window down "Will you get out of the damn car?" Matt asked frustrated.

I got out of the car. Pascal said "Why did you run?" I looked at him "I don't know why. All I know is it hurt that she didn't tell me." Pascal shook his head "It hurt her to loose her mother. I saw her on her birthday last year she doesn't smile. Do you know why? Her mother died on the day she was born. And now you tun away from Elise! She
needs support not you leaving her!"

I stood there processing Pascal's word. This is the most I ever saw him pissed off. Elise was like a daughter to him and he hate to see her upset. I looked at Pascal "Your right." Pascal nods and Matt says "Now stop being stupid and apologize!" Matt was angry to he had a similar relationship with Elise that Pascal did.

Elise POV

Vero and I were in my room talking about what just happened. Vero looked at me "I can't believe Jordon just did that!" I looked at her "It was my fault anyway." Vero shook her head "No it's not why do you always blame yourself?" I just shrugged then heard a knock on the door.

Vero opened my bedroom door it was Jordon. She looked at him and glared. She slammed the door in his face. Vero wasn't usual like this but Jordon hurt me and she knew it. I walked to the door and opened it back up. There he was standing in front of me. He looked at me then at Vero "Do you kind if I talk to her in private?" Vero said "Yes I do mind after your act! AND---" I looked at Vero "Vero it's okay I'm fine." Vero nodded and left closing the door behind her.

He looked at me "I am so sorry Elise. I don't know what got into me... I just can't even express how sorry I am." Jordon's head fell that he was looking down at the ground. I looked at him "Jordon you hurt me... I just--- tears fell from my face into the floor. Jordon wrapped me in his arms he whispered "I'm sorry" over and over again in my ear.

I looked up at him and he looked at me. In his eyes I saw sadness and regret. "Jordon I forgive you" I said. He smiled at me "I won't hurt you again I promise." With that he grabbed my hand and we walked down stairs like that.

Jordon's POV

I don't know why but I grabbed Elise hand. It fit perfectly in mine. It made me smile to think maybe one day this will become a regular thing.

Then realization struck me. I was falling for Elise. That's why it hurt me so much earlier... when I walked down stair I heard Shawn Thorton yell "Aw look there holding hands now!" I blushed and shook my head.

Sid POV

After Thorton yelled that Jordon and Elise were holding hands. I looked over and saw there hands linked together. I was debating whether it was a friendly gesture or more. I looked at Jordon and wished that I was him. I looked at her smiling and her head resting on his arm as the walked down stairs. Maybe one day that will be me...
