Elise's POV

I walked back in the house and was about to walk up to my room but my dad grabbed my arm. He whispered "Elise you need to tell them."

I turned around and nodded. All their eyes were on me. I fake smiled at them. I sighed and Sid came over and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

I looked around the room it was completely silent. I broke the silence "I really don't know how to tell you guys this but... I have been diagnosed with stomach cancer. I had it when I was younger and fought it off. But it came back."

Max stood up and gave me a hug. Pascal spoke up "We will be here for you Elise!" They all nodded and came up to give me a hug.

~Time skip 2009 Stanley Cup~

Elise's POV

I sat in my hospital bed watching the game. This season the Penguins play Detroit. This is the last game they will play win or lose and I missed it.

Both goals were scored by Max! The clock was ticking down. 3...2...1 THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS HAVE WON THE STANLEY CUP! THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS HAVE WON THE STANLEY CUP!

My smiled grew seeing how happy the guys were. The cup came out on the ice and the announcer said "Sidney Crosby you'll be the youngest Captain to ever host the Stanley Cup."

I was happy for all the guys but when I saw my brother lift his first cup I started to cry. Geno won MVP!

Sidney went on the TV for an interview. He was asked a few questions but what he said next had me in tears. He smiled at the camera "My best friend since high school was supposed to come to the game. She couldn't make it. This whole playoff run the team dedicated it to her. She was diagnosed with cancer earlier on this season. The team is so close to her. We all wish she was here. It's not the same without her in the locker room before and after games. She always can put a smile on anyone's face. So I just want to say we all love her and hope she can see us win it again!"

About 2 hours later I hear a knock on my door. I turn my head to see Kris and all the guys at the door.

I smiled "You all did amazing! Congratulations on the Stanley Cup!"

Max moved through all the guys and ran and gave me a hug. I laughed and he smiled "We won it for you!"

Sid walked through the crowd of hockey players. He was carrying the Stanley cup with him. He raised it and all the boys yelled "Yeah!"

I laughed and yelled "Be quiet your gonna get yourselves kicked out!" Just then the nurse walked in. She gave a stern look "You guys have to be quiet if you want to stay!"

Max walked over to the nurse "Can we take her out?" The nurse smiled "Let me check with Dr.Barnes first."

That night was the best night I had in a long time. I got to spend it with my closest friends and family. I forgot about my health.

We were currently at a club. Max, Geno, Jordon, and Tyler Kennedy were super drunk. Tyler got a ride home from Matt. Jordon and Max got a ride home from Pascal. I took Geno.

It was hard to get him in the car. When we were walked he was leaning on my shoulder for support.

When I finally got him in the car I said "Okay Geno you have to tell me where you live." Geno shrugged "I don't know... I go with Sergei most of time."
