AN: In which Jack is a stalker, but it's all in the name of love (this is so cheesy I apologize).

"Davey. Hey Dave." Jack nudged his best friend, who was trying his hardest to ignore him. "Davey." The boy in question finally set down his book with a sigh and a glare in Jack's direction.

"What?" They were in the airport waiting for their flight, but there was a significant delay and, needless to say, both of them were growing restless.

"Look at her."

"Who?"

"That girl! The one a few aisles over!"

"The one with the brown hair?"

"Yeah."

"What about her?" Jack smacked his arm.

"What do you think?" Davey stared at him for a long moment.

"You like her?"

"Yes."

"Jack, you don't even know her."

"Right, but I'm gonna get to know her and you're gonna help me. She's reading a book, see? So we're gonna slip a note to her in the book."

"Why would we do that?"

"Cause it's romantic or... something."

"And why do I need to help with this?"

"You got something better to do?" Davey hesitated.

"Okay, fine. But if this backfires, I'm blaming it all on you."

"I'm used to that." Jack shrugged.

"Okay, so, I'm assuming you have a plan?"

"Hold on, I gotta write it first." Davey sighed and went back to his book as Jack pulled a sheet of paper out of his notebook. About a half hour later, Jack finally nudged his friend again. Davey looked up.

"You're finally done?"

"I drew her too, I figure I'm better at that than words. So here, go sneak this in her book."

"You want me to do it?" Jack nodded. "Why can't you do it?"

"What'd you think you were gonna do when you agreed to help?" Davey sighed.

"Fine. But I can't just walk up to her and put it in there, she'd notice me."

"You could..." He paused. "You could get up and act like you're going to the bathroom, and then you can just walked past her and drop it in there."

"I think she's gonna notice that, too. And she might even assume it was me that wrote it."

"Right, right... we can wait for her to go somewhere and then slip it in while she's gone?" Davey nodded.

"That could actually work." So, they waited, and fortunately for them, she got up about fifteen minutes later. Unfortunately for them, she put the book in her back and took it with her. Jack groaned.

"I'm so stupid! Of course she wouldn't leave it there for anyone to just go up to it."

"You'll think of something else." Davey said noncommittally, having already returned to his book. Jack rolled his eyes and settled for staring blankly at the wall.

oOo

"Is anyone sitting here?" Jack looked up to see none other than the same girl he'd been watching for the past hour, pointing at the seat next to him. He looked over at where she'd been sitting and noticed that someone else had taken her seat while she'd been gone.

"Yeah. Uh, I mean no. No ones sitting there." He could hear Davey stifling a laugh from the other side, and he elbowed him in the ribs.

"Great." She sat down. "I'm Katherine." She held out her hand and he shook it.

"Jack. Jack Kelly." They talked for a few more minutes and then she returned to her book. After another half hour of listening to Davey muttering about how long the plane was taking, Jack looked over and noticed Katherine had fallen asleep. He grinned and quietly slipped the note into her book, before nudging Davey, who nudged him back in protest of being nudged constantly.

"Dave." Jack whispered. Davey looked at him again, and Jack motioned to the sleeping Katherine. "Let's move." Davey rolled his eyes (as he seemed to be doing a lot), but stood up and followed Jack to another set of seats.

oOo

Once they were finally let onto the plane, Jack grinned when he saw who he was sitting next to.

"Well, hello again." Katherine looked up, and smiled when she saw him.

"Jack."

"Guess we're seat-mates." Jack sat down next to her.

"I guess so."

"So..." He began. "How's the book?"

"Oh, it's fine. You know I found a very interesting book mark in it."

"Yeah?"

"Mhm, and strangely enough, your name is signed in the corner of it."

"Really? Don't know how that happened." He played along. She laughed and pulled it out of her book, showing it to him.

"Did you do this?"

"I... might've had something to do with it."

"Okay, stop. It's nothing to be ashamed of. This drawing, it's perfect. And the words... love at first sight?"

"Uh. Yeah?" Jack ran a hand through his hair, and Katherine smiled.

"You know, I think I agree with that."

"I - you what?" She nodded.

"I think love at first sight sums it up pretty well." He grinned. They took hold of each other's hands as the plane took of, and talked for the rest of the flight, falling more in love every moment.
