Chapter 25: Awkwardness and hassle

I wander around the swaying grassy field looking for Angel, I see someone walking up to me and I realise it’s Jake. I wave to him. He waves and smiles back, I start walking towards him. He stops and stands there still looking at me, so I do the same to him. Once I stopped he carried on walking, so I did too.
We finally got face to face and I pull him in for a huge hug. I have a sneaky peak into his thoughts.
****JACOB’S THOUGHTS****
He sighs, ‘I’ve missed this and I’ve missed you doing it. ‘I love you very much Star, but I can’t tell anyone about you, we can’t be together. I wish I wasn’t a Vampire or you a Rare Blood; then we could be together forever, just the two of us, maybe three or four of us. If you get what I’m hinting at. He smiles.

I hug Jake extremely tight, let him go and kiss his cheek then say goodbye and have a great weekend. He kisses me on my lips, I snake my arms around his neck and pull him closer. He wraps his arms around the bottom of my back and pulls me in towards him.
After about five minutes we are still kissing, and we hear footsteps getting closer but that didn’t stop us. The person coughs, like he is waiting for someone.
I part from Jacob’s lips and look up to see no one other than Angel. I place my hand on Jake’s chest and push him away a little. I blush then look down to the ground. Angel just laughs at me then puts a thumbs up towards Jacob, nods and then smiles. Jacob smiles back.
“Hey, I think I best be going now.” I say shyly, still looking at the ground and blushing bright red.
“Oh wait Scar, aren’t you gonna introduce me to your ‘little friend.’ Angel jokes.
“Aaa-nn-gel! I wail, he just laughs and so does Jacob, I smile and introduce Jacob to Angel.
“Jake, this is Angel, my annoying brother.” I pause and look at my brother “Angel this is Jacob, my ‘little friend’ as you put him.” I say doing the speech quotations around ‘little friend.’ They both laugh.
“Hey mate, you can call me J.J.” Jake says to Angel, he offers him his hand; Angel takes it and shakes it.
“Angel will be fine.” Angel says with a stern look on his face, “Scarlet, we are leaving.” Angel tells me
“But –”
Angel cuts me off “I said now Scarlet!” He raises his voice at me
“Bye Jake, see you tomorrow, maybe.” I hug him before I walk off with my brother. He says bye and walks off the opposite direction.
I am now alone with Angel and all he is doing is asking me to explain myself about Jacob and why I’m with a guy like him. ‘Do you know what he is? What he is like?! What he does?! He hasn’t done anything to hurt you has he?!’ Is all I’m getting Angel wants explanations, oh shit!
