Chapter 13: Tattoos, Vervain and Wolfsbane

I hope my tattoos get here soon. The tattoos are what protect me from getting my blood sucked on by Vampires, if they happen to bite me when I have my tattoos then they will instantly die, it's like swallowing Vervain for a Vampire.
Vervain is what humans use to stop being compelled by Vampires; they can either wear it or drink it. Also if a Vampire bites a human while they have been drinking Vervain then it stings them on the inside and gives them little burns them on the out. It also happens to make that particular Vampire weak for three hours.
Wolves on the other hand have something called Wolfsbane, Vampires use this against them; a wolf bite is fatal to a Vampire, unless you drink Hybrid blood, which will cause the bite to disappear completely. When ingested, Wolfsbane causes a Werewolf to become severely weak and feverish, it can also happen to Vampires when ingested Vervain.
