Chapter 23: Explanation Mrs!

    Friday 12 April 2013 3:40pm

“Wake up! Scarlet wake up!” I suddenly wake and notice I’m still in the office and the Head is telling me to wake up, oops. I must have dozed off, so all that was a dream?

“Sorry Miss, I came to see you about something, but you weren’t here and I must have fallen asleep, it won’t happen again.” I apologise.

“It’s fine Scarlet, what did you want me for?” The Head replies, I tell her that I can’t remember and ask what time it is. “It’s almost time to go home.”

“Oh thank you. I remember what I wanted to tell you now…” She looks at me and raises her brows. “What room do I have music in? It doesn’t say on my timetable.” I ask her sweetly

She said, “You’re on fourth floor, room seven or eight, they’re both music rooms, and big ones too.” I smile at her and walk off to my lesson.

I arrive at my lesson and the teacher introduces himself as Mr Puckett and he will be my music teacher for this year, then he tells me to come outside and explain where I’ve been, I tell him that I’ve been with the Headmistress and that he can go check if he doesn’t believe me. I apologise for being late.

I look around; Storm, Bonnie, Nicole, Dylan, Charlie, Jacob, Lucia and Mia are all in this lesson with me, great opportunity to get phone numbers. I take my seat next to Jacob, he smiles a half smile at me, and I smile back slightly.

Mr Puckett continues with what he was going on about, something do to with piano and keyboard notes. I already know this because I’m pretty good on piano and guitar, and I can sing too.

“You may all have the rest of the lesson to talk amongst yourselves.” My Puckett tells us. I smile and turn around to face Storm and Mia.

“Explain now Mrs! Where were you?” Mia asks almost in a whisper.

“I got lost,” I almost start laughing but I keep it in.

“Everyone does, when it comes to music of corse, but it looks like you were out dying your hair.” Storm tells me and laugh.

I giggle a little, “I wasn’t, it’s about what I told you earlier, and not to tell anyone. I pause a little; Stormie nods her head.
