Chapter 28: The drawings and name practice

“What do I need to do now Mother?” I ask her
“You, my child need to learn how to draw these Elements, they are very simple.” She tells me they are simple, they could be hard?
“Oh yay! I love drawing, did you know Mother? Did you?” I ask eagerly.
“You are just like your Grandmum Scar, that was her name I called her, and yes I did know you love to draw, Scar does too.” Mother Nature tells me she knew my Grandmum, oh wow and I’m apparently like her, even better, my mum used to tell me stories about her when I was little, saying that she had the power of Spirit, and she could do lots of things.
“Please my I have something to draw with, and draw on, Mother?”
“You may use a stick my child, from one of my branches, make the ground soft with your Earth Power, then you will be able to draw on it.” Mother tells me that I need to make the ground soft, how do I do it? Maybe if I concentrate on making it softer for me to draw on it will happen.
I concentrate on the hard mud ground in front of me and think about making it soft enough to draw on, I close my eyes, breathe in and then back out deeply and smoothly. I place my hands on the ground and think about it becoming soft. It’s working; I feel my hands sinking into the ground! I open my eyes wide and smile, I’ve never been lucky to do something like this before, it feels amazing.
I stop concentrating and grab a stick from Mother’s Willow Tree and see if I could write into the soft mud. I’ve never been happier to know that I’ve accomplished something.
Mother spoke, “You’re just like Rosie, she done her first straight away without any help, it’s like she is with you, telling you what to do.” We paused for a second or two. “Now my child, the Fire Element Drawing is a simple equilateral triangle.”
I place my stick into the mud and draw an equilateral triangle, it starts to harden up once I’ve drew it.
Mother said, “If it goes hard, like it has done there, you have drawn it correctly, if it doesn’t go hard, you need to start again. Here is a piece of paper it tells you what you need to draw.”
The paper came floating down, next it said for me to draw the Earth Element Drawing which is an upside down equilateral triangle with a line through the top joining at the two sides. I get to work drawing the Earth Drawing; again like the Fire Drawing it hardened, this means I’ve done it right. “Yes!” I whisper, “Two down four to go.”
I read the next Element, Air. It tells me to draw an equilateral triangle with a line at the top joining at the two sides, just like the Earth Drawing but the right way up, not upside down. I draw what it tells me to draw, it hardens. “These drawings are pretty easy after all.” I whisper.
The fourth Element is Water. It says to draw and equilateral triangle upside down. “Easy peasy!” I whisper and draw the upside down equilateral triangle. It goes hard so I move onto the final Element Spirit.
It’s written down that it’s just a circle, so I draw a circle and it hardens up. “Yippy!” I whisper loudly.
The final Element is Magick, I look at the paper and it tells me to draw a star, so I get to work drawing, then it becomes hard. I’ve done them all correct.
“Woo hoo!” I yell out. “Mother, I’ve finished. What do I do now?” I call.
“Well done my Star. All you need to do now is learn your names so we can begin your training.” Mother tells me.
I do as Mother asks and start to learn my names. “Enya is Fire, Eartha is Earth, Aria is Air, Ocean is Water, Spirit is Spirit and finally Isis is Magick.” I chant to myself over and over again, getting louder each time. “Enya is Fire, Eartha is Earth, Aria is Air and Ocean is Water, Isis is Magick finally Spirit is Spirit!” I pause and listen to the silence of the loudness surrounding me. “Mother I’m done!” I call out.
