I never asked,

for your hand in marriage.

for a lifelong commitment.

I never asked,

for your life.

All I asked,

was if we had a journey ahead of us.

And all you said,

was a simple "Yes :)"

I never asked,

for a ring.

I never asked,

for you to love me.

I never asked,

for you to say "I do."

All I asked,

was if we were looking forward.

And all you said,

was a simple "Yes :)"

All I asked,

was if we had something.

All I asked,

was for a kiss.

All I asked,

was to meet you.

And all you said,

was a simple "Yes :)"

All I asked,

was if I meant something to you.

was if you'd make me break my rule.

All I asked,

was if you might have me.
