"Clear as Mud"

The true meaning of the words that spill out of your mouth,

without thought,

can never be deciphered.

Your "I love you's" are simply wrong,

and your chaser usually breaks me down,

like a wrecking ball hitting a skyscraper.

And last time I checked,

after someone says "I love you,"

you're not supposed to beat them with words.

You're supposed to cherish them,

and make them feel the meaning of your words,

not show them the antonyms.

Every word you say,

has a secret meaning.

"I love your hair today."

Did you just call me fat?

Well you have lint plastered to your skin under your rolls.

I've been slimming down,

trying to make you love me.

I work hard everyday,

to be the person you want me to be.

Your words are as clear as mud,

and are almost never kind.

"You did your makeup differently."

You hate this dress?

Well your shirt buttons are choking.

I thought the dress,

looked,

pretty.

But I guess I'll go burn it.
