Lauren walked inside and set the last of the boxes on the ground, shutting the door behind her. She sat on the couch to take a small break before she would start moving boxes up the stairs. She watched as their son played with his toys without a care in the world. It was nice being back from the honeymoon, but sometimes she wished she could escape for a day from the craziness of moving and such.
Camila was exhausted because they had been moving boxes all day long into the new house. She sat down on the couch and placed Taylor down on the floor beside her with some of his toys. The younger woman leaned back for a moment to take a breath before pulling a box toward her so she could start unpacking some of the things for the living room.
They'd only just gotten back from their honeymoon a week and a half ago and were now in the middle of moving into their new house in Denver. Granted, everything was there, it was just a matter of time to get it all unpacked and where it would be perfect for them.
Lauren stood up and kissed her wife's forehead before helping slide the boxes that were to remain downstairs toward Camila. She picked up a box that went in their room and headed toward the stairs.
Camila watched as her wife walked away, heading upstairs with a box in her arms. "If you need any help, let me know, babe."
"You're not moving a damn thing up those stairs." Lauren said firmly as she yelled behind her.
Camila laughed at Lauren's response before mumbling to herself, "I'm pregnant, not helpless." She started pulling some pictures and figurines out of the box to unwrap them. The sound of the newspaper caught Taylor's attention and he looked toward Camila. The young Cuban smiled to him before taking one of the newspapers and putting it over his head, laughing when his little arms started moving to get it off of his head while he had a smile on his face.
Lauren set the box on their bed before she quickly ran down stairs to grab a few more. She caught her wife putting newspaper on Taylor's head. "That's precious." Lauren said with a smile as she organized the boxes so she could pick them up.
Camila glanced up when she heard Lauren coming back into the room. "He's adorable isn't he." She glanced toward Taylor for a moment before she started figuring out where to put everything on the shelves.
The younger woman placed the some things on the coffee table in front of her before taking a small balled up piece of newspaper and tossing it at Taylor. He jumped and made a confused face which only made Camila laugh again. "I love you, honey." She told him before leaning down to kiss the top of his head then standing up to go put some books on the mantel.
Lauren watched as her wife threw the newspaper at their son and he jumped a little. She couldnt help but laugh. "My god. He literally can't get any cuter." She said as Taylor turned to look at her. "Yes little guy I'm talking about you." Lauren said softly as she bent over to pick up the boxes and head up into Taylor's room. She dropped the boxes off in Taylor's room. There was only one more trip left before everything was in the proper room. She pushed the boxes in the corner before heading back down the stairs. Lauren ran back down without a word, but the second she hit the main floor Taylor turned to look at her. She swore the little boy had supersonic hearing.
"I'm serious, baby. If you need any help unpacking, let me know we can come upstairs to help you." Camila said as she heard Lauren come back down the stairs, not turning to look at her. She instead looked over at Taylor who had busied himself with crumbling up the paper some, stopping when Lauren came into view.
