(A/N- Firstly sorry about my lack of knowledge. Don't know if homosexuals are able to get married in churches, though I personally think that if they aren't then that's stupid, but here (in magical fanfiction land) they can. Secondly, I really don't listen at weddings, to be completely honest, I sit there and think about the food afterwards, so I don't know what gets said and all. Please comment/vote/share/follow if you enjoy this chapter! It means a lot to me! Thanks, Lovelies!

Chapter 29

Greg's POV

I smiled as I looked at my soon to be husband, smiling at me from the front of the alter. I tried to walk slowly, fighting the urge to sprint up there and marry him as quickly as possible. I had waited for him for long enough, I could wait half an hour more.

When I finally got up there, Mycroft took my hands in his, and smiled into my eyes.

"Dearly beloved," the voice of the marriage celebrant boomed out across the Church, "We are gathered here today in holy matrimony  to join Mycroft Holmes and Gregory Lestrade as they begin to embark on their journey as husbands. If anyone has any objections as to why these two should not be wedded, speak now or forever hold your peace..."

Mycroft and I both held our breath for a moment, and thankfully, no one spoke up, so the wedding continued. "Mycroft, if you would please say your vows."

"Greg, I knew from the moment I first laid eyes on you that you would become a big part of my life, though of course, I had no idea just how much," everyone laughed at that, "And I knew I wanted to see more of you. Obviously, our situation at that time made everything complicated, but you were worth the trouble. You are worth the trouble, Greg. You mean more to me than the air that I breath. I would do anything for you. I will make myself into a fool just to see that heartbreaking smile of yours. Everyone calls me 'The Iceman' because apparently I have no feeling. I have an icy heart, apparently. But not with you. You're whole being melts my heart, Greg, and for that, I thank you.

I am so glad to call you mine, Greg. You're my world. You're my sunshine on a cloudy, bleak day, and you're the refreshment on a sunny day. Even in my most depressing moods, you can cheer me up, just by giving me a kiss or a nice long hug. I never thought I could love, until I met you. I love you so much, Greg. Always and forever, and that I can wholeheartedly promise."

"Thank you, Mycroft. And now Gregory, can you please say your vows?" The celebrant asked.

With tears pouring down my face, I looked into Mycroft's piercing eyes, that were raw with emotion. I could read him like a book, and I loved it. He mightn't have been crying, but the look in his eyes was his equivalent to tears.

"Mycroft, you're my first love and only love. From the very first day I met you, I couldn't get you off of my mind. You were in every single thought I had. You still are, if I'm to be completely honest. Mycroft, you mean so much to me. I would jump in front of a bullet for you- though hopefully it'll never come to that. I never thought such a gorgeous, intelligent, caring, and amazing person could ever love me, but it seems I have been blessed. Blessed enough to have you in my life, being able to kiss you and hold you, and know that you love me, maybe almost as much as I love you.

I feel beyond honoured to be able to spend the rest of my life with you, and call you my husband. You are the greatest thing I have, and you are without a doubt the most brilliant man I know. I love you so, so much, Mycroft, and I will do anything for you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. God answered my prayers. I love you so much, Mycroft Holmes."
