So I had PLC's tonight (parent learning conferences or something similar) and I've been told to spend more time on my schoolwork, and less on here. Whiiiiiich I probably, honestly, won't do. Anyway. Please comment/vote/share/follow if you enjoy this chapter. I love seeing your responses! I love you all.

Chapter 34

Jim's POV

I looked through the bushes at the large house. Dimitri and Charlie were inside eating breakfast. How adorable. So ordinary. I rolled my eyes and looked at my watch. I had been watching them for over an hour, and there had been no new developments. They seemed to have forgotten they were supposed to be in a safe-house, looking out for their safety. How predictable.

Of course they wouldn't expect me to have found them. Who would? I was just some weird, outcast teenager, who surely wasn't capable of finding a couple of traitors in a supposedly safehouse which, surprise surprise, wasn't that safe.

Sebastian touched my arm as he sat beside me. "Have you made your decision?"

I stood up and brushed the invisible lint off my suit. "Yes. I believe I have. We wait. I like to see them dance." With a smirk, I walked away, Sebastian following close behind.

Charlie's POV

I avoided Dimitiri's eye contact. We weren't talking, aside from the ocassional one worded conversation. Dimitri was of course looking after me. He still cooked and cleaned, and every now and then he would look around the house to make sure it was still safe for us to be there.

I kept out of his way. I was still embarrassed about our snogging session, and I didn't want to talk about it any more than he did. He always spoke under his breath in Russian, though of course I never knew what he was saying.

At the kitchen table, he finally spoke to me. "I forgot to tell you, there'll be a tutor coming in to tutor you through your learning. She'll arrive tomorrow."

"Okay," was my only response. I swished my cereal around in the bowl, not looking at Dimitri.

Dimitri's sigh made me look up at him properly for the first time in a long time. His soft brown hair came down to his chin and his brown eyes looked warm. "Okay. We need to talk about this."

"Talk about what?" I mumbled as  I looked back down.

I heard the legs of Dimitri's chair slide across the ground, and suddenly I felt my head being tilted up, and my eyes met Dimitri's. "I think you know what we need to talk about."

I was about to speak but I was cut off by Dimitri's lips being pressed against my own. I shifted in my seat and allowed Dimitri to pick me up in his arms, his lips still against mine. I felt him carry me upstairs as his tongue danced with mine, my fingers pulling at his hair.

I fell back onto a bed, and Dimitri crawled on top of me, kissing me again. His legs were either side of my waist, and our hardened members rubbed against each other, the friction making both of us groan.

Dimitri's long, slender fingers began to undo the buttons on my shirt, and he pulled it off me with ease. I helped him pull his shirt off of him, and his lips travelled along my neck, gently biting my sensitive skin every now and then.

I moaned and grasped at his hair as he began to undo my belt, and my jeans came down around my waist, followed by my pants. Dimitri moved upwards and took his trousers and pants off too, and soon we were both lying on the bed having a heated make out session.

The touch of his warm body against mine was heavenly, and  I yearned for more. Dimitri kissed me roughly, lustfully, and I knew that this time, there was no going back. This was really going to happen. And then there was a loud banging noise coming from outside, and Dimitri stopped kissing me, moving his head away from me. He still sat on top of me, but he was frozen. "Did you hear that?"

"Yeah... It was probably an animal outside or something. Don't worry about it," I tried to pull him back down to kiss me but he refused.

"No. I need to go have a look."

"But why?"

"Because if your life is in danger then I need to do all I can to stop that threat!" Dimitri shouted at me, causing me to flinch. "I'm sorry," his voice softened. "I need to go look though." He got up off of me and pulled his pants and trousers, and disappeared out of the room. After a second, his head poked back around the side of the door. "Oh, but this time, I'll be coming back for you." He winked at me and walked off.

Dimitri's POV

I walked around the house, searching for whatever had made that noise. There was nothing inside, so I went outside and looked around the vegetation. There were sure signs of footprints in the soil, ones that I knew didn't come from Charlie or I.

There was a red handkerchief caught on a twig, and I pulled it off. It seemed almost... Elegant for a handkerchief. The material was rich and it was unused. There was embroidery around the edges of the material, and it seemed faintly familiar. I knew I had seen that handkerchief somewhere, but where, I didn't know.

I continued looking around, and came up with nothing more, but I knew we were in danger, and I would have to contact Mycroft about it. Then something else caught my eye. It was a little white envelope, sealed in wax. I quickly opened it, and looked at the letter inside.

"Dimitri,

While you are reading this, you have given me the perfect opportunity to get to your little boyfriend.... What a shame. I thought you were better than this, but apparently not. Did I not teach you anything? Anyway, you've wasted enough time. I'll be seeing you soon.

I cursed under my breath in Russian before rushing back into the house, up into the bedroom. Charlie had thrown the bed sheet around his waist. He looked up at me as I came in, and looked downwards.

I stood in the doorway and leaned against the door frame, watching him. "Seems like whenever we're about to get intimate you run away," he mumbled, playing with the comforter on the bed.

I sighed. "I'm sorry, Charlie. It really wasn't meant to be this way. I swear."

Charlie shrugged shyly, and began to get up off the bed. I had to look out for his safety, but I also had to look out for his feelings.

I went and sat on the edge of the bed, and pushed him back down onto it. "Okay. No. Sit down. We really do need to talk about this, and this time, there's going to be no heated make out sessions, no interruptions. Charlie, you have to understand the position I'm in. I need to protect you. I need to keep my mind clear, be on the job, twenty four seven. And I can't keep my mind on the job if I keep thinking about you, thinking about what I want to do to you, say to you. I worry about what you think of me, and I can't keep doing that. Charlie, I love you so much, I really do. Never forget that. But for now, I need to focus on keeping you safe, which will be a lot harder now, but I do love you. I've never been more sure of anything in my life."
