Act Four: Separations

Kyoji's POV

It's been two days since Aki and I did it in that closet. No-one's questioned anything, even though we smell like cum. Then again, everyone stinks, so I'll bet nobody's even noticed. I want to see Aki. I want him to pet me, and kiss me and stroke me behind my ears, but he can't. Not while I smell like sweat and lost dreams. Being a detective isn't boring, far from it. My dreams aren't lost, this is just how I imagined it. I'm addicted to the adrenaline rush when you figure something out, or find a suspect. We've been here, haven't slept, haven't left, for 16 days. Whew! I love helping figure out this mystery, and I've already caught and interrogated two suspects. They didn't know anything though, so I just threw them in jail for processing.

I'll bet you're wondering what this case involves. It goes something like this: 67 politicians murdered in their offices, and hundreds of civilians dead, all at the expense of one gang. We want these guys bad, pal! 

Anyways, I was sitting at my desk, trying to figure something out when all of a sudden, Cheif of Police Kando came up to me and asked what I'd done in that closet. "We found semen in there, and you were seen fleeing the scene. We think you were jerking off in there." pressed Kando. "I assure you, Kando-san, I did nothing of interest in there. I was here writing my report." I lied. "Okay, Hoshitani-kun. But your pay will be docked unless you admit it was you.

"Then go ahead, dock my damn pay. I'll just get a girlfriend..." I trail off. "Unless I'm mistaken, you are dating a man? Our fine Akihiro. Of course, he makes sense, since he doesn't pretend to be a cat." he sneers. "You know what, bitch, you're really pissing me off. Can you get your fucking ugly mug away from my desk?" I rage. I think I went too far though, because he began to tear up. "My boy, I was merely being humorous. I'm sorry if my jokes offend. But after all I've done for you, you'd just treat me like this after one little thing? For shame." With that, he walked away.

I walked over to Mei's desk and started hitting on her. "Hey there beautiful, do you know karate? Cause you're body is real kicking!" A few more minutes of this and she was my girlfriend.

"So after all these years, I meant nothing to you." came a voice. I turn around in shock. It was Aki!  " All this time of my love and affection, and this is how you repay me. You go behind my back and get with a girl. Well guess what? A middle finger to the sky for you. We're done." He walked away.

Now I'm in for it. My boyfriends dumped me, Mei as well as everyone else in the building is confused, Kando's probably in his office crying because of me, and now I have to be a detective, I have to live life! All without my Aki, without him. What just happened?
