Kyo's POV

I can't believe the sight in front of my eyes.

Known criminal Kazuma Kaneko is in this room. But also, known dick police chief, Daisuke Kando, stands before me.

"Haha! I see my military forces did nothing on you detectives! I should have known. Police training these days is more brutal than military training, after all. Well, I'll kill you quickly," says Kando with a sneer. He pulls out a pistol. He fires it at me. To no effect. I'm wearing military armor. He can't touch this.

"W-wha? Why didn't that work?" says Kando in disbeleif. I wouldn't be wearing this if it weren't for him calling in those forces. Thanks, Kando. "Kando, I can't believe you. I should kill you!" I say. He starts to run away, and I try to shoot, but before I can, he jumps into a hatch. I look into the hatch. Rushing water.

"If I had to guess, he's dead," said Kaneko. I turn around to face him. "I give up. There's nowhere to run, and I'm too old for this anyways. You can have me," he says. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pistol. Holding it by the barrel he walks over to me. "Move over," he says.

I trust him, so I move over. He drops the gun into the hatch and closes the cover. "How do I do this? Down on my knees, hands up?" he asks. "Nah, I can take care of it," I say, as I pull out my cuffs. I cuff him, and he holds his head up. "You know, it might not be typical bad guy of me, but I have to say sorry. I heard about the All-Night-Crime Campaign. It's unfair.

"I shouldn't have done what I did, and I don't know why I did it, but I just can't continue down this road. I know I'll get the death sentence, but you can ask me anything you want, and I'll tell you. I know where you guys can get a nice bonus, I know where you can find all of my men. I surrender," he says, tears-eyed.

I say nothing to this, and drag him out. "You can't get out that way. The falls will snatch you up. The only way out is through the stairs," he says. I usher him to the stairs, and as I do, I hear yelling. "We got the place wired to blow! Woooooo!" yells a bunch of people. "Detectives! I'm so sorry! This place is gonna go! Leave me here!" he shouts. "I can't do that!" I yell back. "You have to! It's the only way out! I'm gonna die anyways..." his voice trails off.

I nod, and say goodbye. He says goodbye back and smiles. I run up the stairs. Running through the complex irrigation system, I work my way to the top. I see Aki there. He jumps off, into the river. I'm about to do the same when...

"HELP!!!" shouts Detective Kuzunoha. I whip around. There he is, his leg stuck I between two pipes. I rush over, pulling as hard as I can. "I need to take off the shoe!" I shout. I hear lower floors beginning to blow. We quickly pull off the shoe, and I pull Kuzunoha off the ledge with me, just in time. As we fall to the river below, the top floor blows, scraping us with debris.

We swim to the beach, and find our cars. "Forever in your debt, Detective Hoshitani." says Kuzunoha as we part ways. Heading back to the police department, I reflect on the journey to make it this far. I've definitely had no better times in my whole life.
