Act Seven: Investigations

Aki's POV

I got back together with Kyo. I'm glad it wasn't what I thought it was. I also feel really stupid for believing he'd actually do that to me. We've been dating for, what, twelve years now? How could I dump someone so cute without hearing them out? Well, it all worked out in the end. 

"Ahem." came a voice. I turn around. Kando! "We need your help in an investigation of the latest crime scene. If you find anything, I'll give you Lv.5 access. That means you get to see Top-Secret Files, and you'll get to examine the body. But only if you find crucial evidence." I smile as I think about Lv.5 access as Kando walks away. My Lv.3 access is nice and all, but Lv.5! 

I head into the police car as we speed down the road to the latest victim's apartment. I run up the stairs, trench coat flapping, Kyo at my side. When I enter the grand apartment, I see detectives and police officers swarming the place. Kando walks up to me. "This is the apartment of the head of the investigation. He was found dead in his bed this morning. The weird thing is, the autopsy says he was awake and alive for several minutes after being stabbed in the heart, but he was found in a peaceful state, seemingly oblivious to his death. Also, I hate to say this, but since you've been so dedicated, I'm handing over this case to you. Enjoy." He walks away. 

As head of the investigation, I get Lv.4 access, which gives me access to secret files and body examinations, but only with permission from the Head Detective. I get handed the autopsy, as well as a full body and murder weapon examination report. This case's relations to the case as investigated before is the killer's calling card. I begin to examine the place where the body was found. I see the body. I suppress my emotions to act professional for Kando. I look over the body as Kando relays some facts about the victim. As I look under the bed, I see a piece of paper. As I see what's written on it, I gasp.

"Read it to me," says Kando, shakily. I begin. " You cannot pay for our services, so we can't provide you with any more. You owe us almost half a billion yen in drugs and assassinations. For this, you will have to surrender to the special address by Monday so that we may discuss a financial plan. Skip this meeting, and you will be found and killed. Don't forget that I can find you at ease, seeing as I see you every day. -Bosley Inc." I look up. Kando looks almost happy. "Good job boy! Does it say anything else?" he asks. "No, there are no names," I say, mystified.

Kyo walks into the room and sees what I'm doing. He sneaks up behind me and attacks. I drop the paper, and Kyo begins to kiss me. He notices Kando out of the corner of his eye, and quickly snaps into a salute. "Sir! I'm sorry for displaying such a disgusting act, Sir! Please forgive me, Sir!" he hollers like a military man. Kando looks and says, clearly disgusted, "I'm not the one you should salute. Your BOYFRIEND is the one to salute. Although I don't understand how you two can really love each other... but that's not my place, now is it?" 

I respect him for that.

Kyo looks over the paper, then gasps. "What is it, Detective Hoshitani?" I ask, only saying Detective Hoshitani to make Kando happy. "Bosley Incorperated, they're the ones that made that game. Remember that disastrous first date? The movie we say was based off of the game,  which I still have to this day!" Kando looks and says, "I know Bosley! I buy my son their games all the time. I'll ask everyone to bring in their Bosley games. You two, find Bosley, and take them down!"

If it makes you feel any better, dear reader, the name of the movie was Last Dream VI, The Ghosts Inside.

Kyo and I got into a cop car and sped off towards Bosley Inc. It felt awesome, going almost 95 MPH, sirens blaring. I didn't have to follow the rules of the road at all. We spotted Bosley NS, a branch office of the main Bosley Inc. technology company. We slowed down, and when asked to show ID or else we wouldn't be allowed in, we sped past the gate. The, I kicked down the ID required door. I stormed into the offices, and screamed, "Freeze, pals! You're all under arrest!"

The rest of my squad came in at that moment, and in a matter of minutes, we'd shut that shit down! Now came the interrogations.
