Kyo's POV
Me and Aki climbed into the police car, and, sirens blaring, we made our way to Bosley Radioelectronics. We screamed down the road, and made our way to a highway. Cars swerved to avoid us.
"Aki, roll down the windows!" I said. We were going 95 MPH, and so the air felt awesome on my face. But when we came to a bridge, hell broke loose. Cars honking everywhere, the gridlock was terrible. We weren't moving at all! We would've just turned right into opposing traffic, but that was gridlocked too! The gang was gonna blow up the radioelectronics building if this kept up!
"Aki, this isn't possible. We gotta get put and go on foot," I said as I saw the other detectives getting out of their cars.
"Not quite." He pointed to the trunk of the car, and I instantly understood. We got out and opened the trunk. We were jealous of the police. They were soaring above our heads in helecopters. We pulled out two bikes from the trunk. Then we did something really risky. We dove off the bridge road, and onto the assortment of pipes on the side. The other detectives followed suit. We rode on the pipes, which were getting increasingly thin.
Matsuo's POV
I didn't understand why Mommy didn't wanna drive. She just sat there, not driving the car, mumbling bad words. "Fuckers, all fuckers..." I was getting bored, so I looked out the window. I saw some awesome police helecopters up in the sky. Mommy was looking at them too. "Look, Matty! The police are going to go stop the bad guys!" she exclaimed. I looked over the side of the bridge. Some guys in big jackets were riding bicycles on the pipey-things. "Mommy, who're they?" I asked. She looked, then chuckled. "Matty, those are detectives!"
"Really? Detectives are lame..."
Kyo's POV
I bet we look really lame.
The police get awesome helecopters and boats, and we get bikes. But they get the job done, and that's all that matters. Anyways, we're almost at Bosley, so I can stop being terrified of the rushing waters below my tires.
We rush onto land and make our way to Bosley. We kick down the door and start exploring. This place is like a maze! We run every which way until we reach and elevator. After a two-minute elevator ride, I run to the satellite. I pull out my gun and begin to climb the stairs.
And them came the shots.
They had sub-machine guns! My dinky little revolver wasn't going to do much against them! I realize with horror that I have to get one of those SMG's. And the only way to do that is to kill someone. I shoot at a man's head. He almost flies backward, and falls off the edge. I just killed someone for the first time.
"It's all part of the job," comes a voice. "Aki! Am I glad to see you! I'm ready to take them down!" I say with enthusiasm. I run over to the SMG, pick it up, and put away my revolver. Now I'm confidant. Up the stairs we go! I shoot anyone I see, being a ruthless murderer. I take the ammo from any gun that's dropped. Shoot to kill, shoot to kill. As I reach the room at the top of the satellite, I hear voices. It's really muffled, but one of the men was a dead ringer for Kando. Could it be? No way...
"Detectives... here, investigating... find anything... make sure... drugs and murder... police here... gotta go... be there so they don't suspect... bye then. I'll make sure to... of them." The man began to walk toward the door, saw me, and ran the other way. I couldn't see his face clearly, but I saw a brown stain on his shirt. I couldn't see the shirt very clearly either. I wasn't thinking about this. I was thinking about kicking this door down.
I saw a woman standing there. She drew a gun, smirking, and shot. Not at me, not even near me, but at a desktop computer. The thing ignited, and a stream of fire went down the side of the building. She dropped her gun, and I made for her, but she was to quick. She smashed open the window and jumped out. She just committed suicide. Also, the fire destroyed every file on that desk. Files we could have used. Intel.
I sat there, mentally scarred, and bleeding. I got shot a few times on the way here. "Kyo, we have got to go, this place is about to blow!" he said, poetically. "Alright. Whoa!" The tower began to tilt. That fucking woman! She's gotta be dead, but before she died, she must have cut off two of the four supports. Now, of the explosion didn't kill us, we'd get crushed instead.
"Kyo, we're gonna make it! We can't go down here, it's too high, but if he get on the opposite side it's gonna fall, we might have a chance!" So we did just that. We held onto a railing on the other side, and all around us, things were blowing up. As the big tower fell further, gaining speed, the explosions got increasingly louder. All we could do is pray that the tower fell completely before the explosions reached us.
We sat in silence, as finally, in a demented blaze of glory, the tower fell down. I got up, and jumped off the tower. Then my heart stopped as I saw inside the building. A lone man, laying under the satellite, in a pool of blood. Dead. A lady stood there, weeping. I think the man came to push her out of the way of the satellite, but couldn't save himself. I jumped inside, and with newfound strength, lifted the large tower slightly, and instructed to woman to drag his dead body away. I could see the explosions now.
"Thank you, Detective!" thanked the woman. "Now get him. Run!" She saw what I was talking about. A large vat of C4 lay right inside the office, set to detonate. As we ran, I heard the timer. BOOM! The stuff blew up. I put my trench coat over the lady, revealing multiple cuts and bruises. Also, very wet armpits. I stink. Computer parts and papers hurled at me, cutting me more. The lady was doing dandy under my coat.
All of a sudden, and the man with a brown stain on his shirt came to me, and hit me with the butt of a shotgun. That's all I remember before I blacked out.
