I rushed downstairs again and out to the courtyard. Like Abigail promised that there will be a training dummy waiting for me. I had not bathed yet, and Abigail accompanied me all the time I used my sword to slam the dummy as rain poured down on me, splashing my hair into a wet lump.

I let out a shout of fury everytime I slammed my sword hard against the straw dummy. The rain didn't make it any better as it began to pour down harder.

I don't want to marry him. I thought repeatedly and furiously. I raised my sword to stab the dummy one last time when a voice called out to me. I stopped mid-air and lowered my sword, turned to find Uther and Leon standing side by side each other and their capes draped over one shoulder.

It was already dark and raining heavily. I have no choice but to surrender myself to the dummy. I joined the two of them under shade, shivering.

"Yes, my lord?" I asked, executing a bow before the King and sheathed my sword beside my hip. I hope he did not hear my teeth clattering. It's cold, I thought.

The King chuckled, "Don't overtire yourself, Aurora. Go to bed now." He told me.

I was surprised. The King never called me Aurora before, by my name, that is. I was always Captain to him. And the other court members. I finally decided to step up to him, "I can't sire." I said.

I watched the King's shocked expression, and Sir Leon was watching and listening intently. "And why is that?" Uther demanded.

I clammed my mouth shut, I have to think of an excuse...fast! "Uhm...I can't sleep well." I lied.

"Don't worry. I'll ensure you a good night's rest." He turned to Leon, and said, "Escort her to her chambers and accompany her."

"No!" I shouted, and I could hear my voice echo throughout the corridors. I finally gathered up my courage and quiered politely, "May I speak to you alone, Your Majesty?"

"Is this about the wedding?" He guessed.

I swallowed down a lump of nervousness, "Y-Yes, my lord." I replied.
"You have nothing to worry about." He told me calmly.

I bit my lip, close to tears, "I have everything to worry about. Please excuse me for my discouragement! I don't want anyone to marry me!" I practically whined as I rushed back to the courtyard, being dashed by rain again and drew my sword, and this time I won't stop until the dummy is in half.

I heard whispering between the King and Leon. Out of the corner of my eye I could see the King leaving while Leon stayed behind. I choked down nervously as raindrops dripped from my eyelash and streaked down my cheek making it look like I was crying.

"M'lady! You have to stop! The rain is just getting worse!" Abigail yelled over the raging downpour.
I let out a cry, "Go in if you must. I'm not going anywhere 'till this thing is dead!" With one final slash, the straw-head came tumbling off and landed on a puddle of water.

I let out a sigh as I pushed back a strand of wet hair behind my ear, and Leon came rushing towards me. "Captain, please. You must rest." He told me.

I almost laughed when I saw his hair being sploshed by the rainwater. But I didn't, I let sadness wash over me, my whole body being engulfed by devastating sadness that I have to marry a knight.

He pulled me away from the rain and into the shade. "You are going to get sick. Listen to me. Please." He slammed me hard against the wall to get me together.

"What am I to you?" I finally demanded. I had to know. Why he care about me so much.
"You are more than a Captain to me." He told me in a voice that only I can hear.

I softened, I wasn't taken back at all when he pressed his lips against mine. It was like a "Now-you-know-what-I-mean" and a "I-care-for-you" kiss mixed together into one.
