I walked down the corridors of Camelot. I was about to turn to round a corner when Uther, Arthur and Morgana walked out of it. I jumped and drew back a little, but regained myself.

"Your majesty! You startled me." I told him.

Uther gave me a small nod, "I suppose, you slept well last night?"

He was the only person, including Leon who knew what happened last night, me getting drenched under the rain, stubborn enough to not come back in.

I looked from him to Arthur to Morgana then back to him again, "I uh...never better!" I stammered, trying to lighten up the mood. "I have never slept like that ever since I was a child!"

Uther smiled, "Ah. It seems Leon have done well."

I could see Arthur trying to hold back a laugh. I scowled but softened again, "Yes..yes he did..." I mumbled.

"I have received reports that my men have been murdered. I have reasoned to believe it was Cenred and his men. I want you to bring a few men and hunt him down." Uther explained.

"Do I have permission to strike him down on the spot? Or do I have to bring him back?" I asked.

"Do as you wish. You will leave right away." Uther ordered.

I executed a bow, "I will." Then I rushed past Morgana and down to the stables.

Abigail quickly saddled my horse and reined it. She bid me good luck and led the horse out to the courtyard, where Lancelot, Gwaine, Percival, Elyan , Leon and Arthur are waiting impatiently on their saddles.

I swung myself on the saddle and kicked my horse into a trot out of the palace.
On the way, the horses were to slow down as we took in the eerie surroundings of the meadows. We spotted a few dead knights on lying on the ground.

Arthur dismounted from his horse and drew his sword. He went to the nearest knight and found a ransom note attached to an arrow that was pierced into the knight's chest.

"It's a note from Cenred." Arthur announced, I dismounted from my saddle and jogged towards where he was, and read the note from behind his shoulder.

"This is where they fought," I realised. My head jerked up when I heard battle cries, and Cenred's knights came sliding down the valley.

I unsheathed my sword and advanced on the first one who swung his sword in the air. I blocked him with my sword and then pierced him with it.

Cenred arrived riding on a black stallion, laughing when he saw me. His knights had surrounded my friends and I in a circle, and I pointed my sword at them threateningly.

"A girl," Cenred let out a laugh as he came into the circle.

I scowled at him, "Watch your mouth!" I yelled.

"Tough woman, what is your name?" He walked towards me until he was a foot away. I flinched a little, and I could sense Leon feeling tense as well.

"My name is Aurora, and I am the Captain of the Royal Guard. You will respect me as you should!" I shouted, tightening my grip on the hilt of my sword.

Cenred pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear, and I could feel him breathing on me. I decided to tag along. We were slowing to a kiss, and then he pressed his lips against mine, shutting his eyes.

I didn't shut my eyes, and stroked his cheek. Then I silently and slowly raised my sword, and inserted it hard to him. I gave him a look as his eyes shot wide open, I watched as he collapsed on the ground.

Cenred's knights stared at their master's corpse on the ground, terrified.
"Leave! And never return!" I ordered.

Hurriedly they ran away from our sight.

I turned to face Arthur and the others, my eyes resting on Leon's, who stared at me breathlessly.
