Chapter 20 (Part 1): Battle of A Lifetime

/[:Jerome's POV:]\

Once we got into the Squid HQ, it was chaos. Callumari- who we had brought with us because he knew the place better than me- was clinging to either me or Mitch's side out of fear.

I slash at another squid's tentacles with Betty the axe. Mitch is sniping them all with his arrows, and whoever gets too close gets a bow smacked into their face.

Callumari is even helping when he can, slicing at a few that I can't get to with an iron sword.

"We need to get to the throne room!" Someone says in my head, who I assume is Seto. I assume the rest of the Team got it too, because I see Mitch look at me before running off. I follow him with Callumari by my side.

The entire Team manages to make it into a room without any squids in it. We take this time to go over some sort of plan.

"We need to find the throne room. Octavius and Dawn should be in there. We can take them out and the rest of the squids should fall back." Sky explains. Everyone else nods.

Suddenly, I hear something. Turning my head to the sound, my eyes widen as I realize what it was.

"Uh.... guys?.... We've got company..." I say, backing up a bit. The Team turns to look where I was looking.

Suddenly, a large group of squids flood into the room. I manage to spot Octavius in the mix.

"Guys! Octavius is in the middle of them!" I tell the Team. We then get into action, fighting squids left and right.

I then suddenly get this feeling that I should be the one to find Dawn. I look around quickly for Seto and spot him, blasting at squids with his magic.

Running up to Seto when he's in the clear, I get his attention. "Let everyone know that I'm going to find Dawn." I say to him.

"Good luck Jerome." He says before telepathically telling the Team what I said. I nod to Seto and sprint down one of the hallways, Betty in hand.

Reaching what I assume is the throne room, I step in and look around, no squids in sight.

Suddenly, I hear the doors slam behind me. I pull on them in an attempt to open them, but with no luck.

I turn back around when I hear someone laughing.

"Why hello Jerome, so nice of you to join me here!~" I'd recognize that voice anywhere.

"Now.... let's dance~" Dawn says, pulling out a diamond sword.

Yup! It's a two-part chapter! The idea I have of how the battle plays out isn't big enough for a three-part chapter.
