Chapter 15-I forgive you...

-a few days later-

Nick's p.o.v

I haven't been doing much since Tommy left. I've just been sitting here. Tess comes over to hangout and give me food. But even Tess couldn't make me happy. The only person that could make me smile when I was really sad was Tommy. But I ruined our friendship so he can't make me happy. I thought that the person you love was supposed to make you happy. So why doesn't Tess make me as happy as I was when Tommy was around? Was it possible I liked Tommy to? No way! I like Tess!

I just sat in bed starting at a picture of me and tommy from before. Before I knew he liked me. Before I ruined everything. Why do I care so much? He was my best friend yeah! But I should be happy when Tess comes over! I like her so I should be happy when she's around! I just sat there then I heard a knock on the door. 

"Come in!" I said my voice rough from crying. Ashlie opened the door and came over to me.

"How's Tommy?"I asked.

"He's getting better,still upset. But he really does miss you. You should try to text him later."

"Yeah I will."I said.

"Hey Ashlie?"

"Yes?"

"Why don't I feel happy when Tess is around?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean when I was sad with Tommy he made me happy but Tess isn't making me happy."

"Maybe you don't like Tess as much as you thought."

"But I do I like her!"

"How do you know that for sure?"

"I just do!"

"Do you know what it feels like to like someone?"

"Yeah,you feel happy when they're around, they make you smile and laugh even when you're sad,and they make you feel like you're not alone like you always have someone that loves you even if nobody else likes you."

"Do you feel that with Tess?"

"Of course I do!"

"Are you sure you didn't make a mistake on who you liked?"

"What? A mistake? What are you talking about?"

"Maybe you mixed up your feelings. Maybe you actually liked someone else and didn't realize it,so you thought that the feeling was towards someone else."

"What are you implying here?"

"Maybe,you liked Tommy."Ashlie said looking at me. Then it hit me. Everything I listed that make you know that you like someone listed stuff that tommy could do. He made me happy,and made me smile and laugh when I was sad,and he stayed with me when nobody else would even though he had stuff to do he put it aside to help me when nobody else did.

"I-i liked Tommy?"

"I mean I don't know for sure,that's for you to figure out."Ashlie said getting up.

"Thank you Ashlie."

"Just thought you needed to talk."

"Yeah."

"Well I have to go ,I'll check on you later. Okay?"

"Yeah." And with that Ashlie left. I like Tommy. How did I not realize? I really messed up. But that makes sense. It makes sense on why I don't feel that happy around Tess. I need to break up with her. I have to get tommy back! I grabbed my phone and turned it on. I forgot my lock screen was a picture of me and tommy. I smiled at the picture and typed in my password. I went to my messages and found Tess and i's messages. I stared at them. Should I text break up with her or should I tell her face to face? You know what I should be a man and tell her face to face. I texted her to meet me at the beach.

I got dressed into better clothes and walked out the door towards the beach. I walked to the spot I told her to meet me at. I stood there for about a minute then I saw her coming. She soon got here. I have to do this.

"What did you want to talk about nick?"

"Tess this is very important."

"What's wrong?"

"Tess I'm sorry for this."

"Huh?"

"Tess I got my feelings messed up and I thought the feelings were for you but I was sadly wrong. I didn't realize that the feelings I felt were towards someone else."

"I understand!"she smiled at me.

"You do?"

"Yeah,I know who you like and I was ready for this after you told me what happened."

"You knew?"

"Yep,I mean I kind of guessed when you guys first came. I saw the way he acted and I could tell you weren't sure about your feelings."

"Thank you for understanding."

"It's cool,we're still friends right?"

"Of course! But I have to go do something!"

"Bye!"she laughed. I turned around and started running towards the huts. I made it in front of Tommy and Ashlie's hut. I was out of breath but quickly recovered. I peeked in and saw no one. I walked in and looked around. I heard the shower on. I sat on the bed I guess Tommy was sleeping on. His clothes were piled on it so I assumed that he was sleeping in this bed. I looked at his bedside table and saw he had a picture of him and me. I smiled as I looked at it. I didn't realize that the shower turned off. I heard the door creak behind me.

"Hey Ashl-"Tommy started. I turned around to Look at him.

"Why are you in here?"he asked sounding a little mad,he was looking down.

"Tommy I need to tell you something."

"Why should I listen?"he said crossing his arms.

"Honestly you shouldn't but I was hoping you'd listen. Guess I was just hoping you'd be you,but you have a good reason not to listen."

"I'll give you 2 minutes."

"Thank you."

"Just tell me what's so important!"

"Okay,First Tommy I'm sorry. Now for the next part,Tommy I didn't realize this when I should've but I know now and I'm going to tell you. Tommy I realized that I mixed up my feelings,I thought my feelings were towards Tess but I was wrong. Ashlie helped me see that. So I broke up with Tess to go tell the person I really love that I love them."

"So why are you telling me this? Shouldn't you go tell the person? Or are you just rubbing it in my face that you still don't like me?"

"You're stupid sometimes tommy."

"What?!" I laughed at his actions.

"Why are you laughing?!"

"I'm trying to tell the person I love them right now."

"How? You're just talking to me."

"Tommy,I like you."I smiled.

Tommy's p.o.v

"Tommy,I like you."he smiled. Did I hear him right? Did he just say he likes me?

"Sorry,I think my ears are messed up."

"Why do you think that?"

"Because there is no way you just said you like me!"

"But I did!"

"N-nick..."was he lying to me? Was this some sick joke? Nick started walking towards me. I backed up a bit and he frowned.

"I understand if you don't feel the same..."

"I Do!"

"Wha-"I cut him off with a kiss. He kissed back. He wrapped his arms around my neck and I wrapped mine around his waist. We pulled apart and looked at each other.

"I love you..."Nick said smiling up at me.

"I thought you'd never say that. I love you too nick..."

"I'm still sorry..."

"It's alright..."

"How?"

"Because...I forgive you...."
