Chapter 47-Uni's birthday

Uni's p.o.v

I slowly pushed myself up from my bed. Then I remembered what today was. My birthday. I didn't care much about my birthday, so today was like any other, or at least I thought it would've been. I grabbed my glasses and put them on then I got out of bed and changed into my normal clothes. I then exited my room and quietly snuck down the stairs. Shelby and SGC normally sleep in pretty late so I didn't want to disturb them. But to be fair I slept in pretty late, it was already like 1:30pm.

When I got downstairs I expected Cory to be there but he wasn't. Weird. But I shrugged it off. Maybe Ashlie or someone else needed him. I yawned and stretched. I rubbed my eyes then adjusted my glasses.

What to do now? I sighed thinking about the question. I could go hang out with Tommy or Nick, or Dawn, or Jon. But I didn't want to bother them. I grumbled then sat down in a chair. I glanced around the kitchen throwing to see if I could see anything that would help me decided what to do.

After a few minutes of thinking I just gave up. But then I looked out the window. It was very sunny out. I smiled. I'll go for a walk! I got up from the chair and threw on my coat and shoes. I swung open the door and exited. I took a deep breathe of fresh air.

I then began to walk. Birds chirped as the sun shone down. I missed this weather. I continued to stroll down the streets happily.

Cory's p.o.v

I rushed around the store grabbing what I needed. I was planning for a very special date for Uni because it was his birthday. I know he doesn't care much about his birthday but I care. I decided I was going to have a picnic for the date because of the warm weather.

So far I had water melon, some sandwiches, cookies, and a few other random things. I continued to trot around the store. I knew I had to make something special for Uni but I didn't know what.

I sighed and grabbed a few more things off shelves. Once I finished I quickly paid then rushed out of the store. I put the stuff in the trunk of my car then I hopped in. I then began to drive to Ashlie's. I had left all the picnic stuff at her place so that Uni wouldn't see it.

I pulled up to her apartment building then got out. I grabbed all the bags then walked in. I took the elevator up to her room. I knocked on the door. I heard shuffling then Ashlie opened the door. She smiled at me and let me in. As I set the stuff out I noticed that Nick was there. I smiled at him.

"Hey Nick."

"Hey Cory, what's up?"

"It's Uni's birthday."

"Oh yeah! Shoot! I was so wrapped up in stuff that I forgot! I hope he'll forgive me!"

"Oh don't worry, he doesn't really care about his birthday."

"Oh." I chuckled.

"Anyway, I have to pack stuff so yeah," I said before turning around and emptying the bags. I then grabbed the picnic basket and began to fill it up with stuff. I gently placed in the water melon and other stuff. I placed a few ice packs into the basket. Then I turned to Ashlie. But she wasn't there. She seemed to have went to her room.

I walked down the hall leading to her bedroom. I gently knocked on the door. She then answered.

"What's up Cory?"

"Oh I just need help with something," I explained.

"And what would that something be?"

"Well I wanted to make something special for Uni but I don't know what."
