Chapter 37-Halloween finale: Halloween festival

Cory's p.o.v

I was the first one dressed up so I was handing out candy. Yesterday we decorated and got candy and stuff. I was sitting on the couch watching 'Nightmare on Elm street,'. Then I heard a knock. I got up grabbed the how, of candy and answered the door. Standing there was a little girl dressed as a zombie. She held out her bag.

"Trick or treat," she said on a cute sweet voice. I smiled and gave her a hand full of candy. She smiled.

"Thank You," she said.

"You're welcome," I said. She turned around and hopped down the steps and towards her mom. I closed the door and sat back down. I turned the movie back on. 

Soon Shelby and SGC came down. We watched the movie together. And as every kid came to the door we'd rotate who gave them candy. Finally Uni came down. He has his face painted nicely.

"Good job with the face paint Uni," I said. He smiled.

"Thanks, I like your costume too," he said back.

"Are you guys ready to go? I bet the rest are there waiting for us," Shelby said.

"Yeah," I said. We all see stood up. I turned off the tv and grabbed the candy bowl. I turned on the outside light and put the candy on a table. I locked the door and got in the car with the others. Shelby put on Halloween music as we drove to the festival.

Once we got there we had to search for a parking spot. After ten minutes of looking we found a parking spot. We parked and hopped out of my car. Ashlie texted me where the rest of them were. We walked over to where she said. Once we saw all of them we waved and rushed over.

"About time you got here," Tommy said.

"Yeah guys!" Ashlie said.

"Whatever, lets just get going," Nick said. We all nodded. There were lots of tent things with different things. One had candy. Another had a place where you could make your own candy. And another had Halloween decorations. There were also lots of rides. There were several haunted houses and haunted rides.

"Tommy and I are going to the haunted house, see ya!" Nick said. And with that him and Tommy ran to one of the haunted houses.

"Jon, Ashlie, and I are going to go look at some of the decorations,see you guys!" Dawn said. Then they walked off. Now it was just Uni, SGC, Bri, Shelby, and I.

"So, What do You guys want to do?" I asked.

"Candy making?" Uni suggested.

"Sure," I said. Everyone else agreed. We walked over to the tent and talked to the ladies running it. It was a short girl with a very silver theme to her and a girl that had a very mermaid feel to here.

"Hello," I said.

"Hi," said the short girl.

"Can we make cand?" I asked.

"Oh yeah! My friend here will help you," the short girl said motioning to the girl beside her. The mermaid like girl stood up and walked us over to the candy making machines. She explained what we had to do. We nodded. But she said we had to do it in groups of two. She partnered Uni and I.  Shelby and Bri. And Nick ended up working with another girl from the back. The girl SGC was working with had a flowery outfit and gave off very nature type feels. 

Uni and i started making out candy. He melted some stuff while I got the other stuff ready. I read the recipe and put in my stuff first. Them he poured in the melted stuff. We took turns mixing. Then the last stir we did we did together. Then we finished. We put the stuff in a plastic bag. I put the candy in my pocket and told Uni I'd give him some later. We waited outside the tent while the others finished. Once we all finished we started talking.

"Hey Cory, lets go to the haunted house!" Shelby said.

"Okay," i said,

"Everyone else go do something," she said. She grabbed my hand and pulled me to the haunted house. She pushed me in and came in aftert me. She grabbed my arm as we walked. I felt my cheeks heat up. Luckily you couldn't see it in the dark. 

As we walked through I heard creaking. We were in a dark room when things started jumping out. Shelby and I screamed and ran. We got out and we're so out of breathe.

"Well, that was fun," I said. 

"Yeah," Shelby said. We walked down the steps. As soon as we got to the ground Bri ran up to us.

"Hey Cory, come here, lets go dunk for apples," Bri said.

"Ok, see you later Shelby," I said. Bri grabbed my arm and walked with me to the apple dunking place. Lucky us there were two apple dunking stations right next to each other. There were other people doing the apple dunking challenge with us. We had five minutes to get as many as we could.

I dunked my head in the water. The water was very cold. I ended up getting an apple. I came up and put the apple in a basket. Then I dunked my head back in. After the five minutes was up I had ten apples. I was tied with this one guy. The judge person didn't care and split the prize. We each got half of the candy. As me and Bri were walking back to the main part we were munching in candy.

Then SGC came running up to us. He smiled at me and Bri.

"Sorry Bri, but I need Cory right now," SGC said.

"Okay?" Bri said confused. SGC grabbed  my arm and pulled me over to a scary ride. It was a haunted roller coaster to be exact. We got in one of the carts and went into the haunted house area. It was very dark. Things would light up as we passed thought. Everything was pretty normal until we reached one room. In the room hands were coming through the walls. One actually touched me. I screamed and jumped into SGC. I hugged SGC and he hugged me back.

"I don't like this," I said.

"Me neither," he said. Once we got out of that room it only got worse. The final room we were in had people jumping out and chasing after the cart. Soon the ride ended and we got off. As we got off I was Dawn and Jon hugging. I heard Jon say something about haunted ride and Dawn helping him or something. I don't know, I didn't hear it very well. Soon Uni came running up to us out of breathe. He latched into my arm half crying.

"It was so scary," he said. I was a little confused but patted his back. He hugged me so I hugged back. After about a minute he was done.

We all grouped back together again and went on a few rides and did other tent stuff until it was around eleven at night. We all said our goodbyes and went home. I grabbed the bowl and put it inside. We all said goodnight and went to bed. I had fun this Halloween.

It's out! Finally! I hope this isn't too bad. I don't have much time to write, Im tired and stuff. But so you know Halloween was okay. I tried to do my friends makeup, It suprisingly didn't look terrible. Comment how your Halloween was if you want. Anyway I have to go. Remember you are all amazing. I hope you had a great Halloween.
