Chapter 36-Halloween part 2:Pumpkin Carving

Cory's p.o.v

We were all in my living room again. Today we were going to a pumpkin patch to get pumpkins. Right now we're trying to figure out what pumpkin patch we're going to.

"How about this one?" Nick said showing us his phone. Everyone looked. We were all pretty sick of searching for pumpkin patches and this one wasn't pretty close so we agreed. We all got up and put on our coats and shoes. We each walked to our different cars and stared driving to the pumpkin patch. Uni, SGC, Shelby, and I were in my car. As we drove a Halloween song came on. We all started singing it. 

After an hour we finally made it to the pumpkin patch. We all got there at the same time. We got out of our cars and met up. We then went to the pumpkin patch. There was a lot of leaves on the ground, So with each step we heard loud crunching. The strong smell of pumpkins made me smile. I love Halloween.

We all walked down the rows of pumpkins trying to find the perfect ones. After someone saw one they liked they split off. Soon it was just SGC, Uni, and I. We all saw pumpkins right by each other that we liked. We walked over to them and crouched down. I picked mine up. It was pretty heavy. Once SGC and Uni got their pumpkins we stared walking to where we pay. The pumpkins were $10 each. After we payed we put the pumpkins in my car's trunk then got in.

While we drove home everyone was on their phone trying to figure out what to carve. I knew what I wanted to do already. Something scary. Soon we pulled up to my house. We all got out of our cars and grabbed our pumpkins. We put them in the front porch. When we got inside we all set up a large space to carve. We got our pumpkins and put the on the large place we set up. I grabbed all the pumpkin carving tools and put them in the middle of the set up. 

I grabbed myself one of the longer knifes and went back to my pumpkin. I began cutting sound the stem. The knife was pretty sucky, it bent as soon as I started cutting. I had to get another one. Luckily this one didn't bend. I was one of the last people to get their pumpkin top off. Jon was the last person to.

Soon it was my least favourite part. Emptying it. I grabbed a scoop and started cleaning it out. As I cleaned it out I looked over at Uni and saw he was already drawing an outline on his pumpkin. After I finally finished emptying my pumpkin everyone else was basically carving. I grabbed a marker and started to sketch out what I wanted on my pumpkin. At the end I drew some narrow eyes, an upside down triangle for the nose, and a large mouth with sharp teeth.

Uni, Nick, Tommy, Ashlie, Bri, SGC, Dawn, and Shelby were already done. I sighed. I grabbed the knife again and started cutting. 

"Want some help?" Uni asked. I thought for a moment. I don't really want help but I need it. I nodded. Uni smiled and sat down beside me. I grabbed a knife and started cutting the other eye. The pumpkin carving went a lot faster. Soon we were finished. The pumpkin actually looked good.

"Thanks for the help Uni," I said.

"No problem," he said. I gave him a hug then grabbed my pumpkin. I put it out on the porch with the rest of their pumpkins. Then I joined the others in watching a scary movie.

Jon's p.o.v

Soon Cory and Uni were done and I was left alone. I didn't like it very much. I didn't think my pumpkin looked that good. It had closed eyes, a triangle nose, and a big mouth with two tiny sharp teeth. I was only on the first eye. I sighed. I laid down to rest myself and my hand because it hurt from all the cutting. I closed my eyes. I heard someone walking so I opened my eyes and sat up. It was Dawn.

"Hey Jon, need help?" He asked. I nodded and he smiled. He sat down and grabbed the knife. He started cutting. I grabbed another knife and started cutting. Soon we were done. I was pretty proud of my pumpkin.

"Looks good Jon," Dawn said.

"Thanks Dawn," I said. Dawn picked up my pumpkin and led us outside. He put my pumpkin next to a robot pumpkin. That must be his. There were some cat ones and some other faces. Dawn and I went back inside. We were about to walk into where the rest of them were watching a scary movie but I stoped Dawn before we went in. I gave him a hug and thanked him.

"No problem Jon," he said smiling. He grabbed my hand and walked me into the room where we were watching a scary movie. Dawn and I sat in front of the couch beside Nick and Tommy. We were wrapped in a blanket. Every so often I'd get scared and snuggle into Dawn. I started drifting off and soon I fell asleep.

Uni's p.o.v

I was sitting beside Cory on the couch. He wasn't really scared but I was a little.  This movie is full of jumpscares and i hate it. Every so often I'd jump and I'd see Cory look over. Soon another jump scare happened and basically everyone screamed. I jumped and screamed. I patched onto someone's arm and closed my eyes. The person patted my back. My breathing slowed back down. I let go of the person's arm. That's when I realized who I latched onto. It was Cory. I looked over at Cory and he smiled.

"You know you don't have to watch this," he whispered.

"I know," I whispered back. 

"Okay, as long as you're okay," he whispered back. I nodded and looked back at the tv. I didn't notice that my hand was slowly coming closer to someone else's. So when I felt something touch my hand I screamed. Everyone look at me and laughed. I laughed too. Then we went back to the movie. But this time when I felt something touch my hand they grabbed it. I looked over at Cory and Cory looked at me. We smiled at each other and got a little closer. I ended up falling asleep during the movie. But when I woke up I was upstairs in my room and I saw Cory leaving. I smiled and closed my eyes. Soon I drifted back to sleep.

Halloween is tomorrow! I'm so excited. I love Halloween. This year I'm going as Frisk and my other three friends are going as undertale characters(Alphys,Undyne,and Toriel). I had another friend that was going to participate but he didn't want to go as sans. So yeah, anyway I hope you liked this chapter. The last Halloween chapter will be out Tomorrow.
