Chapter 42- Cory's birthday

Cory's p.o.v

I woke up to the noise of my alarm clock. I groaned and slowly sat up. Then I remember that it was my birthday. I hopped out of bed, threw on a hoodie and jeans, and went to the kitchen. I smiled when I saw everyone sitting in the kitchen making breakfast together.

"Hey guys," I said smiling. They all looked over at me and smiled. I was waiting for them to say happy birthday but no one said anything, they just continued to cook. I sighed a little sad, but to be fair it was still pretty early in the morning so maybe they were too tired to remember it. 

I walked over to Uni and Shelby. They were mixing stuff together. I sighed not knowing what to do. He felt a little upset about them not saying happy birthday.

"Is there anything I should do?" I asked.

"Uh no, you can just chill," Shelby said. SGC and Uni nodded in agreement. I grumbled and walked into the living room. I plopped down onto the couch and pulled out my phone. I texted everyone "good morning". I sighed as I saw the responses. No "happy birthday"'s just "good morning"'s back. 

Soon the house filled with the smell of pancakes, eggs, and sausage. I left the living room and went to the dinning room. Everything was on the table. I sat down across from Uni. SGC and Shelby were on the other sides of the table.

I finished eating the food. It tasted great. I was less sad than I had been. I smiled at Uni, Shelby, and SGC.

"Wow, that was really good guys!"

"Thanks Cory!" Uni said smiling.

"Thanks," SGC said.

"Yeah, thanks," Shelby smiled. I chuckled.

"So, what are we doing today?" I asked.

"I don't know, I guess we could go to the bowling alley," Shelby replied.

"That's an odd choice, but okay," I said.

"You guys can do that, I have to make videos today," Uni said. 

"Same," SGC said.

"Oh, alright," I said. Shelby and I got up. We walked to the door and put on our coats and shoes. We walked out of the door and then got into the car. Shelby began to drive as I stared out the window, admiring the snow that had fallen.

Uni's p.o.v

I sighed as Shelby and Cory left. SGC and I ran upstairs to our rooms and got out a few bags of decorations. We set them all out on the table. We had streamers, party hats, balloons, confetti, a sign that says "happy birthday", and a few other things.

"What should we put up first?" SGC asked.

"Uh, the streamers," I responded. He nodded and grabbed a pack of streamers. He threw it over to me then grabbed himself one and opened it. We each grabbed out one roll and then began to throw it around. We started to throw it around. We started in the living room, then the main room, and last the dinning room. 

We sighed as the final roll was out. We smiled happily. I turned to SGC and put my hand up in the air. He smiled and high fived me. We turned around to go to the table where everything else was but were interrupted by a knock at the door.

SGC and I looked at each other then ran to the door. I quickly opened it. It revealed Bri, Ashlie, Dawn, Tommy, Jon, and Nick.

"Hey guys," I said smiling. 

"Hey," they all said in unison. I smiled and moved out of their way so that they could get in. They all came in and put their stuff away into the closet near the door. Jon walked into the kitchen and put the cake he had gotten for Cory into the fridge. And everyone else put their presents onto the table. Then we all walked into the living room where all the other decorations are.
