Kat’s POV

Girlfriend?!

GIRLFRIEND?!

The girl grunted, stomped her foot and stormed away. I shrugged Jeff’s arm off me and spun around to look him in the eye. “What was that?!” I yelled. He smirked. “Ah, I was just messing with her, and besides, you’re hot when you’re angry.” He winked at me.

He had the nerve to wink at me.

What a punk.

“Let me make this clear,” I started, using my hands to gesture between Jeff and me, “there is NOTHING going on here.” He smiled, “Oh sweetheart, I don’t go for girls like you.” He put a hand on my shoulder.

Okay, I’ll be honest, that one stung.

“Yeah, and I don’t go for guys like you either.”

I scowled at him. His smile faltered slightly as I stalked off, pushing the front doors of the school open.

I magically made it throughout the day by avoiding Jeff. This was my last class, Spanish. This was one of the classes I had with him. I blew out a breath, pushing the classroom door open. I sat down, completely ignoring Jeff, but it was okay because I think he was ignoring me too.

“So just open up to page 170 and read the whole chapter, I’m gonna go down to the copy room, I’ll be back in a little while.” The teacher said walking out the door. As the door swung closed the whole room began talking.

I looked to my right to see Jeff begin talking to a blonde. I wondered if he even remembered all of these girls’ names. She laughed, tossing her hair over her shoulder and smiling flirtily. I narrowed my eyes. I was going to get Jeff back.

I waited until he said something about ‘tonight’ to her. I smiled to myself. ‘Not happening this time buddy.’ I thought. I stood up, calmly walking over to where he was standing. “Sure I’d love to go out tonight.” She smiled.

I laughed. “Aw, sorry sweetheart, but my boyfriend and I have plans tonight.” I said in a sickly sweet voice. I turned to Jeff.

“Babe, you remember we have a date tonight, right?” I smiled at him.

“Oh yeah, it must have slipped my mind.” He gritted his teeth. “Aw, you’re so cute.” I cooed, kissing him on the cheek.

I watched as the blonde turned to me. “Hi, I’m Lana.” She smiled. “Hi Lana, I’m Kat.” I smiled. She turned to Jeff, “maybe another time, huh?” she raised her brows. “Uh, yeah sure.” He said. Lana smiled, winking at him as she picked up her books and walked away.

“What was that?” he looked at me, and boy, if looks could kill, I’d be 6 feet under. I smiled. “Payback.” I said simply. He rolled his eyes. “I hate you.” He grunted. I blew him a kiss as I walked away. “Love you too!” I called over my shoulder.

I headed outside once class was over with, deciding to walk back home. It took me about 15 minutes to get home; I unlocked the door opening it. I stopped dead in my tracks, my eyes widening at the sight of my brother and Rachel making out on my couch.

Once I recovered, I smirked. “So, I guess I’m interrupting.” They immediately broke apart; Axel actually falling off the couch. I chuckled, closing the door. “Uh, hey Kat.” Rachel said her face as red as a tomato. I chuckled, “Hey, and don’t you guys worry, I’m leaving.”

I dropped my bag by the door, making my way upstairs to grab my purse and to change. I walked back downstairs, slipping my shoes back on. “Bye guys. Have fun with your activities.” I winked closing the door, only to hear Rachel yell, “KAT!” I chuckled, opening my car door.

I turned on the radio, nodding my head to the music. I drove to Riley’s house, honking the horn once I was in the driveway. I looked towards her house a minute later to see her running down the driveway barefoot, heels in hand.

She closed the door, “You look good.” She said. “Thanks,” I replied, “you do too.” She was wearing a blue dress that stopped right above her knee, black pumps in hand, and a black blazer thrown over it. I was wearing a black dress that stopped above my knee, lace covering the whole thing. I, not being a heel person, was wearing black flats, and a black leather jacket.

We made it to the party by 7:30, seeing it was already full of teenagers. We made our way inside, stopping to say hi to people and to get sodas. I was not a drinker, unlike the rest of the house. I made my way to the dance floor to start dancing, I would be normal. This basically means that I would not be one of the many people grinding. I was normal. I danced normally.

I mean honestly guys, get a room.

After dancing for a little while, I made my way back to the kitchen. “Hey.” Said a deep voice, however I already knew who it belonged to.

Ace.

A/N: Dun dun duuuuuuuun. I don’t really like this chapter, but give me your guys’ feedback. Kat's dress to yo left.
