The Special Gift

Part 2, Chapter 10

"I was wondering when you would come out." Mink said smiling at him. "Guess I fail at making a grand entrance." The guard said smiling. Ichigo looked from him then to Mink before speaking. "Mink you make friends way too easy." He said. Mink smiled at Ichigo as each of the other guards came out and stood by them too. Sam watched each of them closely as they moved and became angry. "Matthew I'm giving you one more chance to do what I say. Take that girl and go inside now." Sam said in a strong voice. Matthew looked at the others then back to Sam before speaking. "Mink and I are staying right here. Father how can you not see that May and Ichigo are Aunt Angel's children." Matthew said. Sam stepped back when he heard his sister's name as he looked at the kids. Mink noticed this and took Ichigo hand as he let go of Mays'. They flew up to Sam with everyone watching them. "Uncle we need you to go back to your old self," Ichigo said softly. "Sam your old self is still there, he just needs help to come back," Mink said just as softly as Ichigo did. "I do not need any help," Sam said. "Yes you do uncle and we can help," Ichigo said before looking over at Mink. Everyone watched from below as they talked but soon after it started to rain. The guards ran everyone into the house as the rain came down faster.

As the rain came down Mink and Ichigo came closer together and took off their jewels. They brought their jewels closer together as Sam watched them without moving from where he stood. After the jewels touched Sam was surrounded by a bright light. He couldn't see anything around him as he looked both ways but soon he could see two faces coming into view in the light. When they got closer he could see that they were Angel and Lilly. Sam took a step back when they started speaking to him. "Sam, it's time for the darkness in your heart to turn back to light. Our family needs you so don't let them lose you like they lost us; please take our hands." They said as they held out their hands. Sam hesitated but soon stepped closer and took both of their hands. After taking their hands they smiled at him as the light got brighter and brighter and Sam couldn't see anything anymore until he was back on his balcony. The rain was still coming down as Sam went to his Knees. Ichigo and Mink put their jewels back on but Ichigo had to hold onto Mink. She used too much energy to activate the special power of the jewels; Ichigo took her down to the balcony and sat her down as the rain stopped. Everyone ran back outside and looked up to the balcony; Mink and Ichigo both were dripping wet.

"Mink are you okay?" Ichigo asked not hiding the worry in his voice. "I'm okay Ichigo. Just need to rest is all." Mink said. Mink stood up holding onto Ichigo's arm and looked down at Sam. Sam looked up at them as tears began to fall on his face. "I'm sorry; I'm sorry for everything that I've done," Sam said loud so everyone could hear him. Mink held out her other hand to Sam after he spoke. Sam whipped his eyes before taking her hand and stood. "There is only one thing to say when someone says they are sorry; we forgive you." Mink and Ichigo said together. Sam smiled to them before turning to his guards. "I'm sorry I made all of you do something Y'all didn't want to do; I would never hurt anyone." He said. "Our friend has finally come back to us." One guard said. Sam watched as they all nodded in agreement then looked at Matthew. Before he could speak Matthew held his hand up. "No need to say anymore, Dad," Matthew said smiling. Everyone then began cheering, smiling, and laughing as they looked up at the balcony. Sam didn't think he would ever be forgiven for what he has done but did not question why they did so fast.

Mink then suddenly fell to her knees when she got dizzy. Ichigo bent down to her as Sam looked over to them. "Mink!" Ichigo said as he held her shoulders. Mink touched the jewel and changed before looking at Ichigo. "I used more energy than I thought," Mink said weakly. Ichigo soon became worried after Mink spoke. Ed who noticed the sun starting to set went up to the balcony. "Ichigo it's going to be dark soon." He informed him. Ichigo looked over to Ed before speaking. "Yes Ed, I know it's getting dark," Ichigo said before turning back to Mink who still felt dizzy. Sam looked at them before speaking. "Ichigo, everyone can stay here at my house tonight. I have more than enough room." He said. "Okay uncle sounds good but we need to get the others who are waiting for us," Ichigo said as he turned to his uncle. John spoke loud from the ground so he can be heard. "Ichigo; you and Ed go get the others after you put Mink in a room to rest and don't worry we'll look after her." He hollered up to him.
