Before we go

chapter fifteen

Louis' POV

the doctor gave me the look of, I did the best I could. he walked over to me and I stood up.

"are you here for Alexandra cowell?" he asks and I nod. "I did all I could sir. I am happy to say that she is in critical condition. she is still alive, but she has barely any air going to her lungs. she is in a coma and in a breathing machine for now. if she wakes up come and find me or a nurse. shes in room 481 on the 7th floor." he says and walks away. I smile very wide and I run as fast as I can to the elevator, but when that's not fast enough I run to the stairs and take them 3 at a time. I get to the 7th floor in under 10 minutes which is a shock. I run around like a chicken with my head cut off to find her room. when I finally do I run straight in and I see her laying on the white bed. I walk over to the side of her bed to get a closer look at her. she looks pale, as white as a ghost. her eyes closed, red and puffy, when I want to see those sparkling blue eyes that I love so much. I run my hands through her long brown hair. its soft just like it always is. I lean in and I kiss her forehead and then her cheek. her mouth and nose covered with a mask to help her breathing.

I know that she got her stomach pumped. I can tell, she looks a little thinner than she did when I brought her in. I sit in the chair right next to her and I take her hand in mine. I lean back in the chair im in and I close my eyes. I see flashes of us as little kids. lexy is smiling and laughing at something I said. I smile as she hides her face in her hands. her hair falling in front of her hand and I laugh. she pushes me laughing and I see the red in her cheeks. I know that shes blushing and the feelings that I have for her grow because I know shes blushing at what I said. I smile and she does too. at this moment I want to lean in and kiss her but her dick boyfriend comes and kisses her right in front of me. I cant bear looking at it so I get up and walk away. that was when I avoided my best friend and crush for the first time.

THE NEXT DAY

I wake up with a jolt and I look over at lexy and I see blue eyes. her beautiful eyes are wide open staring down at me. I stand up straight away and run out to find a nurse or the doctor from yesterday. I find one and take them straight to her room. she still lays awake and confused. the nurse walks over to her and tells her things that I don't pay attention to and as she does lexy nods. they take the mask off her face and she is breathing on her own. she locks eyes with me and I break out into a huge smile. she does too and I walk over to her, while the nurse leaves. I take her face in my hands and I kiss her lips. she kisses back with all the strength she has which isn't much. I pull back and I look at her with tears in my eyes. she goes to talk but I shush her. then...
