Caleb's POV

I arrived infront of her house, looking from side to side. I don't know why fuckin did that then I knocked at the door, I waited until someone shouted and opened the door.

"Oh..Caleb! what are you doing here?" A woman greeted me, she knew me when I cam here a long time ago with Caden.

"Uhm, is Avery there, ma'am?"
I asked.

"Yes she is.. You know Caleb you can come tomorrow she's not feeling well.." She said.

"Ma'am I know what happened, please let me take care of her for tonight.. can I come in?" I said.

She just nodded and welcomed me in.

"The 2nd room on the right." She just said and I nodded at her.

I quickly ran upstairs and knocked on her door.

"Avery?"
I heard foot steps and the door opened.

Her eyes widened, her nose was red from crying and her eyes were red too.
"What are you doing h-here?" She asked.

"Are you okay? are you hurt?" I asked her.

"I'm fine, I'm not that hurt.." she said softly.

"That hurt?! Avery he almost got you.. He almost got my mate!" I said the last part softly, or more like a whisper.

She looked up at me.

I picked her up and she was shock by it, I laid her to her bed, tucked her in there, I closed her window and made sure that it was locked.

I sat down beside her, "Why are you here? did you know what happened?"

I nodded. She covered her face with her hand and said, "where is he?" She asked.

"He's gone.. He can't bother us anymore.." I said.

"Us?"

"Us. we'll be together. I'll take care of you and I'll protect you, I'll be your knight in shining armor." She giggled at the last part which made me smile.

I kissed her forehead and patted her head.

"Good night."
Before I could stand up, she held my hand and said, "Can you please stay here, the whole night?" she said..

Her eyes were like sparkling at dark.. Her beautiful face.. and that kissable lips..

Ugh.. my wolf's getting turned on just looking at her lips.

"Okay.." I said.

"You can lay beside me.." She said softly.

As soon as I heard that, I tucked myself in and hugged her tightly.

"I'm surprised your fast.." she giggled.

"What can I do? You invited me and as your mate I followed what you said and here I am." I said.

"I said you can lay beside me.."

"You don't want me hugging you?" I asked.

Silence beamed.

Then she whispered, "No.."

I smiled and kissed her head and pulled her closely to me and hugged her tightly.

I'm gonna do everything just for you to be safe and to be happy with me.

I won't ever let you go..

I'm not gonna die trying..
