- Will's POV -

Today was the day that I would see my beautiful mate again.

I had been nervous all day, with sweaty palms and shaky hands. I was an Alpha for crying out loud! I shouldn't be acting like a nervous wreck, I should be confident and charming! But just the thought of my mate had me trembling.

Yesterday, when I had neared the edge of her pack's territory, I had purposely stood with my back to the wind, praying that my scent would draw my mate out. I knew that no one was guarding the boundaries, which meant that nothing could stop my mate from leaving.

As soon as I had seen a white wolf sprinting towards me, my body had reacted and I had bolted towards her; causing us to slam into each other. My eagerness to see her made me act like an idiot, and just thinking about that moment made my face heat up with embarrassment.

When I had demanded she shift, I didn't think she would obey but then the most beautiful human had been sitting right in front of me. For a full ten seconds I had to fight my wolf back to stop from mounting her right there. She was beautiful. With bright green eyes and long brown hair and creamy skin.

She is perfect, my wolf whispered at the memory.

I grinned like a love sick puppy.

The sound of soft paw prints brought me out of my daze. I watched as my Beta galloped towards me and bowed his head in respect.

"Erik," I acknowledged.

The blond and brown wolf shifted to reveal a very tired looking human. Erik bent over at the waist as he sucked in deep breaths of air. I frowned at my Beta, this wasn't like Erik at all.

"Do it,' Erik managed to pant out. He was giving me permission to sift through his memory and thoughts.

Rogues have been scented around the border of the Nubilus pack, Erik replied.

My muscles locked and I froze. My mate belonged to the Nubilus pack!

I didn't trust my voice so I used the mind link. Have they attacked?

No, but there is rumour that the Nubilus Alpha is looking for support from neighbouring packs.

I smiled at the thought.

Time to pay my mate a visit, I thought in anticipation.

- Leah's POV -

I had just finished making breakfast for the other wolves that shared my house when I felt a presence in my head.

Leah? Sydney asked.

I paused as I reached the front door. Sydney rarely used the mind link unless she absolutely needed something or someone.

Yes? I answered hesitantly.

I think you should come to the Alpha house.

Is something wrong? I asked.

There was a long pause before she answered.

Someone's here to see you, Sydney replied.
