I want you all to know that I will not give up on this story and to make sure your not waiting months for a new chapter, every Sunday I will upload.

"Will I'm fine, honestly." I tried to convince him.

Will just growled and tightened his grip on me. Since the accident in the training room, my feet have barely touched the floor for more than a few minutes. Will has made it his job to carry me around no matter if it was only a few steps away.

"Marie said my ribs had healed up perfectly!" I tried again.

"Were not discussing this, Leah."

I shivered as my name rolled off his tongue. I tried to hide my reaction but his smirk told me that he noticed.

"But this is an Alpha meeting! Strictly for Alphas!" I exploded in frustration.

Will suddenly stopped and looked down at me. His dark blue eyes searing into my green ones. My heart kicked up a notch and my body suddenly heated up. I shifted in Will's arms at the uncomfortable feeling. The right side of my body that was pressed to Will's chest suddenly felt super sensitive.

"Will, put me down." I said breathlessly.

Will quickly and gently put me down but his hands remained around my waist.

"What's wrong?"

I fanned myself with my hand, trying to cool down my skin.

He pressed his hand against my forehead and brushed the hair out of my face. His hand left a trail of fire along my skin. "When's the last time you shifted?"

I thought back, trying to remember when I let my wolf take the reigns but all I could focus on was Will's skin against mine. I just shook my head in answer.

Will slid his hand down my arm and took my hand, "Come on, were going for a run." He tugged on my hand pulling me along behind him. His long strides were hard to keep up with and I was almost jogging behind him.

"But the meeting-"

He cut me off. "My mate comes first."

My body temperature kicked up a notch at his words.

Soon I found myself racing along beside my mate as a wolf. He remained a step ahead of me, no matter how hard I pushed myself. I eventually butted my shoulder against him and whined. His tongue rolled out of his mouth in a Wolfy grin.

Stupid Alpha male, I thought to myself.

I focused on the wind rippling through my fur, and the damp earth beneath my paws. I lifted my head and breathed in the scents of the forest. The steady sound of our paws thudding against the ground calmed my racing heart. Will turned slightly and I followed his lead as we swerved towards the lake. I glanced over at him to see if he would slow down. His eyes met mine and I could see the dare written clearly. I dug my claws in and pushed myself faster, Will let me take the lead and followed right at my tail.

I bunched my muscles and leaped. There was a moment of free fall, and I shifted just as my paws touched the surface of the water. The water swallowed me up and I let myself sink for a second before I started to swim to the top. I broke through the surface and warm hands grabbed my arms and pulled me up to a warm body.

Will quickly pushed the wet strands away from my face. Now that I could finally see, I could see the happiness in my mate's eyes. He looked completely relaxed treding water with me.

Our mate needed this, my wolf whispered.

Will pulled me closer until our foreheads were touching, his eyes searching mine for permission. My eyes fluttered shut and his warm lips feathered across mine. I smiled as he brushed against them again. I grabbed the back of his neck and slammed my lips to his. I could feel him chuckle softly as he answered with a nibble on my bottom lip.

I didn't realize we had been slowly making our way to shore before I could feel my feet hit the rocks. I clung to him as he rubbed his hands up and down my back.

A vicious growl ripped through the air.

Will quickly pulled away and whipped around to see six multicoloured wolves stalking towards us. I clutched the back of Will's shirt as I registered their scraggly looking fur and scars along their faces.

"Rogues," I whispered.

Before I had a chance to call for help, a dark brown wolf lunged towards us.

Will met him head on and they tumbled into the knee deep water. I didn't have time to shift before a blond wolf was leaping from the side at me. I raised my arm quickly to block my neck and face and his jaws clamped down onto my forearm. His momentum threw us both into the deepest part of the water.

My head submerged and I frantically kicked the wolf off my arm. His teeth scrapped against bone and I cried out in the water. A bit of water found its way down into my lungs and I started to panic. I quickly clawed my way to the surface. I coughed the water out of my lungs and frantically started to make my way to shore.

Will was being circled by four of the rogues, a dark brown wolf lay dead at his feet. His chest was heaving and there were cuts running down his arms. Something snaked around my ankle.

"Will-" I managed to cry out before I was dragged under again.

I opened my eyes to see a blurry figure reaching pulling me down to him. I kicked at his hand and fought but he managed to keep a firm hand on my ankle. I reached down and grabbed his head, pulling and scratching and kicking with any part of my body. He went to grab my neck and I clamped my teeth down on his hand. I felt the small bones in his hand grind under my teeth. Bubbles exploded out of his mouth as he cried out in pain. I kicked his torso away and quickly made my way to the surface.

I greedily sucked in the fresh air. I could hear another head break the surface just as Will yelled out for me.

Hands wrapped in my hair and pushed me down into the water again. Water slipped into my burning lungs and I gagged under water, trying to get it out. I frantically pulled and twisted but the hands on my head didn't budge. I clawed at the hands trying to break free as complete panic set in.

My lungs finally had enough and forced me to try breath in. Cold water gurgled down my throat and filled my lungs. My body continued to fight even as my mind went eerily calm with the knowledge that I was dying.

My struggles finally stopped and I looked around once more at the calm and peaceful lake.

I had just enough energy to send one crystal clear thought to my mate.

I love you.
