Home isn’t a choice for Ashleigh anymore.
With an overbearing mother, and an overprotective father, the shy, good girl Ashleigh makes a dash leaving behind all that haunts her with only the hopes and dreams of a dead sister. Now, she is in the limelights and welcoming it more than ever.
But what happens when her past finally catches up to her?
---------------------------------------------
The roar of thunder sounded making Ashleigh jump in her seat. She looked side to side, panting, and shook her head. A minute later, she let out a slight chuckle and continued to solve the problems given from her Physics homework.
“Determine the best strategy for each player in the following tw….” Ashleigh sighed, cutting herself off. She looked out the window, yearning to go out and play in the rain. She continued looking out in awe when she shook her head and told herself, “Listen here Ash, you’re already behind in class! YOU HAVE TO FOCUS!”
She looks back to the book and began re-reading the problem when she trailed off and looked out the window. A sneaky grin grew on her face and she decided to maybe just open the window. At least then she’d be able to enjoy the lovely breeze the wind and rain were giving out. She stood up and went up to the window, opening the window up.
The cold chilly air swished inside and a smile grew on Ashleigh’s face. She looked out the window through the screen and watched the tiny drops of water fall from the sky. She looked up the sky and then back down to the street.
Her eyes widened. A blinding white light flashed by her eyes and crashed into another car. A gasped escaped from her mouth. She raised her hand to her heart and yelled out, “MOM!” She ran out of her room, throwing the door open and down the stairs yelling as she cried, “MOM!”
A response didn’t come quick enough so she began yelling in tears, “DAD! DAD!” Her mother came from the kitchen, a rag in her hands and yelled, “Leigh, what is it!?” Her mother ran up to Ashleigh and grabbed onto the girl who was going hysterical’s shoulder yelling, “ASHLEIGH!” The mother shook her child, yelling for her to calm down but Ashleigh continued to cry out, yelling, “MOM!”
Her father came out from the garage and yelled, “WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!” His eyes landed upon the his daughter and he ran up to his wife yelling, “What happened?!”
“Mom...,” Ashleigh cried, going limp in her mothers arms. She pointed to the front door and cried, “Ar...Ar..” She never finished the sentence as she burst into tears.
She shook in her parents arms listening closely. Moments later, the sound of sirens of police cars and began making her parents move away from their daughter. They left the house to see the commotion when Ashleigh heard her mother yell.
Ashleigh’s heart began to pound and she knew at that moment, her parents saw her sister being taken in a stretcher.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Packed bags lied besides Ashleigh’s bed. She let out a deep sigh and threw the bags out the window. She looked around before climbing out her window and slid down the pipe. When her feet landed on the ground, she looked back and forth and grabbed her bags.
She unlocked her 2003 BMW and threw her bags into the back seat, hopping in the front seat then. She put her keys into ignition and began the car, driving away from what she once called home.
She was driving to Canada, her new home.------------------------------
Hey, AbsolutelyUnsure here.
So this is a story I will be serious about. However, I will not be posting chapters right away. This is just a sneak preview and a prologue. I will be posting the rest of the chapters, hopefully, when I have Noah and Travis done. I know, that's gonna be in forever.
Sorry. :)
Hope you give it a chance.
XOXO, AbsolutelyUnsure baby!
