Secret Diary of Summer* Chapter 1

-August 31, 2011-

Hm, tomorrow is the first day of junior year. Wonderful, right? Wrong.  I’m still stuck in that hell hole, people still expect me to say yes to their requests of going on dates with them, and mom is nagging me to behave and to study hard because junior year is what colleges care for most. Not senior, sophomore or freshmen year. Apparently, it’s all junior year.

I’m slightly excited to see my friends; I haven’t seen them for hell of a long time since I went to Hawaii for summer. Summer went to Hawaii for summer.

Haha, get it? My name is Summer and it was summer.

Ah forget it, it’s not like anyone is reading this since this is my secret diary that no one can read hence why it’s a secret. Again, why am I rambling on about this diary being a secret? Ah yes, because I have a new diary ever year that people can read openly. It has most of my thoughts in it. I’ve been writing open diaries since fifth grade for anyone to read but I’ve also written closed diaries filled with all of my secret and thoughts in it since then, too. No one knows of this and I intend to keep it that way. Forever.

Or not, someone is bound to find out but ‘til then it’s a secret, shh. Haha, funny. I’m telling my secret diary to not expose itself. Again, why am I telling my diary this? I don’t know, I think I’m going insane.

Oh well, Bye SecDi.

“Summer! Hurry up!” Peyton yelled, from under my bed. Why she is under my bed, I have no clue.

“What the hell are you doing under my bed?” I stared at my deranged sister as I threw scissors, sharpies, tape, pens, candy, my wallet, my lunch, three notebooks and a folder in my lovely neon yellow backpack.

“What the hell are you wearing?” The deranged child got crawled out from under my bed with our bunny, Bugs. That is right; we named our bunny after Bugs Bunny.

Lovely, no? I looked myself over in the mirror and found nothing wrong with a gray beanie, black shirt, with Johnny the Homicidal maniacs arms crossed with knives in each hand, gray sweat pants and black vans.

“Clothing, if you haven’t realized yet.” My voice filled with annoyance, as rolled my eyes. I walked over to my bed, stepping over Peyton, and picked my laptop off of my zebra print comforter and red covers.

                “Oh, really? I didn’t realize.”Peyton said sarcastically.

“Exactly why I’m the smart one.” I smirked at her stupid attempt of a comeback. She rolled her eyes in place of a different comeback because obviously she can’t think of one.

“Now what are you wearing? Go change! It’s your first day of Junior year!” She yelled and pointed to my closet that was across the room from my bed. Next to my bed were my black bedside tables and next to beds right bedside table was the balcony. Yes, I have a balcony. All over my purple walls were different posters of bands and my purple ceiling was covered in photos of memories with my friends and family.  To my beds right, was a black desk with papers from last school year, that I have yet to clean out, scattered across it and a black lamp, in shape of an oval and a smaller oval opened up from the inside, with a red lamp shade. Next to the desk was a full length mirror that had different messages written all over it, some were words of encouragement from friends and others were reminders. A hand was waved in front of my face snapping me out of my trance. I slapped Peyton’s hand away and glared at her.
