Greg, Susan, Jessie and Melody stopped at a casual restaurant on Sunday evening on their way back to their hotel, following their afternoon visit with Alan, Cindy, and the new baby. It wasn't all that late, but the new family needed their privacy and their rest. And so, Greg and Susan took their children with them and left, giving their own family plenty of time to spend together and relax that evening back at the hotel.
"Are we really going to see Alan and Cindy again tomorrow, Mama?" Jessie asked later that evening while the family was swimming in the pool.
"Yes. We plan to go after I get off work. I thought we could volunteer to bring dinner to them when we visit in the evening," Susan said.
"That sounds like a fine idea," Greg told her.
Susan smiled.
"Should we bring Bobby with us?" he suggested.
"Sure, if he'd like to come," Susan said.
"Are you working tomorrow, Mama?" Jessie asked.
"Yes. I'm working in the office building we can see out our window Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week," Susan said.
"Which one?" Jessie asked, looking through the windows that surrounding the room with the pool.
"That really big one," Susan told her, pointing to a tall glass and concrete office building located on a hill, not far from the hotel.
"What are Papa and us going to do while you're working?" Jessie asked.
"That's a good question, Susan," Greg said. "Do you have any suggestions for what the girls and I could do?"
"You can visit Bobby tomorrow. Maybe you can ask him about visiting Alan and Cindy with us tomorrow evening," Susan suggested.
"Okay. What about the other days?" Jessie said.
"You can go to the zoo, or visit one of the nearby parks, or go into San Francisco and see things there. Or you could visit with Reuben and Ruth. There are lots of things to see and do in this area. I'm sure you can come up with something," Susan said. "We'll only be here for three more days."
"Okay. Are we really going to Escondido with you on Thursday?" Jessie asked.
"We plan to," Susan reminded her. "Remember, we're spending Easter with Uncle Stephen and his family."
"I thought we were going to Grandma's house," Jessie said with a hint of confusion.
"We will be doing work there, but we won't be staying there ... will we?" Greg asked his wife.
"No. I've already made us reservations at a hotel similar to this one near Stephen and Jenny's house. It's sort of between Mom's house and the church, so I thought it would be convenient for us," Susan said.
"I'm sure it will be," Greg told her.
The family continued to talk about the week ahead while they spent time in the pool, but they didn't stay in the water long. It was a work night for Susan, and before they knew it, she had them out of the pool and preparing for bed.

Susan arrived back at the hotel late in the afternoon after work on Monday to find Greg, Jessie, Melody, and Mr. Simms waiting for her.
"I just need a minute," she promised, allowing them to leave right away.
They arrived at Alan and Cindy's roughly an hour later, carrying with them take-out Chinese food from a nearby restaurant. They were met by Mrs. Cohen at the door.
