One night, Dark was sleeping at Craze's house. Anti had to spend his nights in the hospital, just in case. Dark took the guest bedroom while Craze took his bedroom.Craze's POV
Late one night, about 1:30AM, I heard the home phone ringing. I sat up and climbed out of bed, shuffling slowly to the living room. I picked up the phone. "Hello?" I said into it. "Mr. GamePlays? We're going to need you and Mr. Iplier to head down to the Demon State Hospital. Come to Mr. SepticEye's room, it's an emergency." "U-Uh, okay, thank you... B-bye..."
I ran into Dark's room, shaking him as some tears left my eyes. "Dark, Dark, please, wake up..." I said, as his eyes opened and he looked at me. "It's Anti..." I said. Dark's eyes widened as he got out of bed.
We jumped in my car and I raced to the hospital building. Dark ran through the hallways in front of me once we got there. He knocked on the door, and a doctor answered. "Come in, quick. The disease's effects are kicking in." He said.
Dark and I entered the plain room. I looked up and examined Anti's face, seeing black cracks forming on them. It made me tear up more considering how much of a reminder it was of the... incident... that lead to my crack-like scar and my white eye.
Dark ran to Anti's side, and I stood behind Dark. "D-Dark..." Anti's voice was breaking. He looked at me and nodded.
Anti was breathing slightly heavily, and he couldn't keep his eyes focused on one thing. I knelt down in front of him, thanking him for helping learn about being a demon and accepting who I was. He thanked me for the 'tremendous help' I've given him and Dark over the years.
He looked at Dark. "Dark, I love you. More than anything. I don't want to leave you here, but remember your promise. Do it for me." Dark's tear stained eyes glistened as the moon was shining through the single window. "I-I love you too, I don't want you to go... there's so much I haven't gotten to say, I need you in my life..." Dark said.
---
A little later, Anti's eyes were closed shut. He and Dark had shared one last kiss, and him and I shared one last hug. We all shared one last goodbye.
Dark and I watched the heart monitor, both of us terrified. I closed my eyes and let every tear fall when instead of separate beeps, one long, deep beep sounded. A few doctors and nurses surrounded us, telling us how sorry they were.
I put my arm around Dark, grabbing his shoulder. "Cmon, buddy. Let's get home. It'll hurt to stay and watch here." I tried to get him to come home. He looked at me with the most blank stare I've ever seen on him. He looked back at Anti, and I knew what he was about to do.
He didn't believe Anti was gone, he didn't want to. He couldn't. "Dark, no..." I said, putting both arms around him as he started to try to run to Anti. "No, no... He, he can't be gone... No, he can't, he really can't!!" He yelled as I held him back.
He feel to his knees and cried into his hands. I rubbed his back and let him cry it out. Once he was sort of done, I looked at him and said, "Come on, let's go home." He nodded and stood back up.
