A very wet Saturday

Louis' point of view

3 days later like Liam said we had a letter through the post.

"Hey Li I think this is Harry's appointment." I said as I entered the kitchen and opened the letter. "Yeah it is."

"When is it? Also where?"

"It's down the opticians in town and it's on Wednesday at 11." I saw Liam nod and I then had a thought.

"Li your going to have to take him I'm on a school trip."

"Yeah okay I can do that I've still got days of holiday hanging around so I'll use one of them. I'll also just keep Harry home all day as it will be easier rather than just taking him back and forth to school all day."

"Yeah okay that sounds good I'll get his work he'll be missing from his teacher so we can do it at home with him when we get time." I said as I wrote it down on the calendar.

"Okay."

"What do you want to do for the rest of the day, I mean the boys are so bored." I said as I looked out the window to see it still raining.

"Maybe we could take the boys to soft play or something."

"Liam Niall isn't going to want to go to a soft play." I said to him and Liam just huffed. He was still having difficulties admitting Niall was growing up.

"Well what do you propose then."

"Maybe we could go swimming. You know that one with the shoots. Both boys would love it."

"Yeah okay, let's get a move on though I mean it's already 1 and I think last admission is 5 and it's going to take a while to get ready and then get there."

"You go and help Harry get ready, and I'll go and tell Niall to get ready before packing a bag." Liam nodded and went upstairs towards Harry's room as that's where the boy last was and I went into the playroom/ game room where i knew Niall was.

Niall was building with his Lego when I walked in.

"Papa do you like it?"

"It's amazing Ni good job." I told him and he smiled widely.

"Papa I'm so bored can we do something." Niall asked me and I smiled.

"Well luckily me and daddy."

"Dad." Niall butted in. I sighed but continued.

"Have decided that were going to go to the pool a couple of towns away which has loads of shoots."

"Really."

"Uh huh."

"Yes." I laughed and watched as Niall quickly put his Lego away and then stood up.

"I need you to either put your swimming shorts on now and put you joggers over the top or just give them to me so I can put them In a bag."

"Why wouldn't I put them on now? I normally do?" Niall questioned.

"We normally only go to the local pool love, which is only 10 minutes away. This pool is a good hour away and swim shorts aren't the most comfortable.

"Oh okay, I'll go and find them, then give them to you." I nodded and sent Niall off to get his swim shorts.

"Don't forget your goggles."

"I know." Niall called back before I heard him open and shut his bedroom door. I then walked into mine and Liam's room and got all the stuff we would need for the swimming pool before heading downstairs seeing everyone else already there.
