Picnic in the park

"Why we driving?" Niall asked as he climbed into the car and I helped Harry in

"Well even though papa is a lot better it hurts to walk after a while and even though the park is close it might be to much for papa so we're going to take the car just in case," I explained and Niall nodded as I shut Harry's door and got into the drivers seat

"Do you think I'll be good to drive again like now?" Louis asked as I reversed off the drive.

"Did the doctor say anything about driving?"

"He just said when you think your ready." Louis said

"Well maybe when you do the school run and visit the school try driving then as it's not too far." I said and I saw Louis nod.

"Yeah sounds good." He said and it wasn't long till we reached the park

"Don't run off boys." I said as they walked over to a fence and sat on that as I helped Louis out the car

"Still okay?" I checked and he nodded

"Yeah I'm still good love." He said and I smiled

"Go over to the boys I'll be over in a minute I've just got to get the blanket and food basket out the car." I said and Louis headed that way as I got the stuff out including a ball as I'm sure Niall would want to play football later and maybe Harry as well.

"Right let's go then." I said throwing the ball to Niall who caught it, after locking the car and took Louis' hand.

"There Daddy wanna sit there," Harry said pointing to a spot under a tree and I nodded as it was good spot as it was In the shade but we could also see the playground so the boys could also go in there if they wished.

"Right if you boys want to play in the park you can as we can see from here but Harry please don't go on anything too high that you can't get down again" I said and Harry nodded before he ran off for the playground.

"Right steady lou." I said as I helped him lower himself onto the floor

"I'm fine Li." He assured me and I nodded before I saw Niall also sit down before curling into louis' side.

"Don't you want to play bug?" I asked him but he shook his head.

"What's the matter?" Louis then asked him

"Am I going to be behind when I go back to school?" Niall asked clearly worried as he'd missed 2 weeks of stuff.

"You should be okay love, your a bright boy."

"Put papa I'm scared. Can you help me?" He then asked before he pulled his rucksack over that he'd insisted on bringing before opening it and I saw he had maths and English revision guides inside, that Louis had brought home for him so if he got confused Louis could go through it with him.

"Oh love Course I will but wouldn't you rather wait till we're home, don't you want to play now?" Louis asked

"No I go back to school tomorrow papa." Niall said working himself up

"Lou are you up to teaching?" I then doubled checked

"Li I'm not really doing anything all I'm doing is sitting down and helping him out a bit." He said grabbing the maths guide

"Right so I know the end of year 5 curriculum as it's the stuff we start on at the beginning of year 6 so I know your probably looking at angles and stuff at the moment right?" Louis asked and Niall nodded

"I don't get it and now I've missed 2 weeks as well." The boy said and Louis nodded kissing the top of his head before finding the pages and starting to explain it to the boy in very simple terms.
